I just want to make sure that the cameramen know that they are expected to keep filming, no matter how much danger one of the contestants is in. Danger is the contestant's problem; filming is the cameraman's job.

What about you AyaK? Are you allowed to jump in and help? I'm curious about this. Do you think that if Jiffy had been in camp when Michael had had his accident he would have helped out?

You said "Danger is the contestant's problem." I seriously hope you aren't letting the cat out of the bag on this...

Initial reaction: Shucks, but isn't that the ultimate fate of many a chicken?
But then I noticed it ends in a question mark, so maybe not that obvious then. Hmmm?

I note the question mark at the end of this. So, maybe it won't happen at all. But things are getting decidedly morbid. I feel the chill in the air already. And why does IceCat suddenly come to mind?

If somebody does bite the dust, I predict:

1) SnoopySucks exits stage left in heroic fashion. His fate was never resolved in the last episode.

2) Ice/DK, like all good cats who haven't used up their nine lives, return to this mortal coil and continue strutting their stuff.

I already knew that would happen

>... hidden alliances are revealed ...

Big deal - this happens every episode

>... secrets are told ...

Secrets...hmm..I wonder what kind of secrets. Will Surv reveal his true age? Will Superman tell us about his dark past? Will DK give away the secret to her wonderful massages?

>... backs are stabbed ...

Again, what else is new?

>... for once the final votes
>might not be final ...

Hmmm... now this is interesting. A tie perhaps? <worries because she has quite a few previous votes>

>... and in a shocking twist someone dies?

Dies?! Now this is scary.

I can't wait!

>... and in a shocking twist someone dies?

*** Well, now, let's keep this in perspective... I'd like to point out various things by my fellow posters here...

First, there is the obvious question mark thrown in - nothing here is clearly defined by the producers! Then, there is the chickens, as dabs pointed out - is THIS a cheap ploy to lure in viewers? Are we glued to the TV set for a real "McReason", or merely for "McNuggets"??? And more good points from GG - we have not one, but TWO cats on the show! If one of them "dies" - well, there's 18 lives between them - no drama there, they'll be back! Just like on the old "Batman" series - when Julie Newmar fell off a cliff, she came back as Eartha Kitt - big whoop!

BUT - (heh heh... I said "but"...) let's all worry BIG TIME when the surprise member of the family shows up! If it's Supermanssister, I think the Man of Steel better run for cover!

Edit to further point out - "Dies" can also be taken in the context that a couple of episodes ago, most of the remaining Borneo Bores became "Undead" because of Vamps' plot to avenge her boot off, till Supes did his "time reversal" thingy - again, similar deal to the Cats having multiple lives!

Really should be an AA, to bring the numbers closer to equal before the merge.

>... hidden alliances are revealed ...
I think DK's sudden remorse at the demise of Stinky has opened up the possibility of some comforting by S-chick--maybe the two of them realize that OFG and sleeeve are too big to take down alone? Or perhaps Surv and MC are in for a surprise when the Superman triangle isn't what either of them thought? (I still think those two are struggling to suck up to Vamps--Surv may be crazy, but he's not stupid. . . he knows a vampire never forgets!)

>... secrets are told ...
Really, it's not a secret--I just use 2 1/2 times as much water as rice, bring it to a boil, then turn the heat way down for about 40 minutes! DON'T peek! Perfect (brown) rice every time! (The REAL secret is what I put INTO the rice. . . Ha HAAA!)

>... backs are stabbed ...
Again, one of these budding alliances obviously falls apart. I'm guessing that the romantic rebuff from DK makes it impossible for Schick to get on with a workable plot. Either of them could turn on the other, really. Don't forget that spoiler from SVBlows, last time around! I still think that picture tells a story! Regardless of which one goes, the other will surely follow, with no possible alliance left.

>... for once the final votes might not be final ...
What? Dalton gets to come back, ā la Love Cruise?!

>... and in a shocking twist someone dies?
I may be wrong, but I heard it's the Ayatollah. . . They just use a cardboard cutout, though, and his fanatical following never knows the difference--except that the rules get even more strict under the resulting rule-by-committee. If they start making us wear veils, you'll know this is what happened!

GT

Edited to say: You want to hear something really silly? GT rambled on so long, she forgot this was just the preview thread, and not the vote thread!! BWUAHAHAHAHAH! Blame it on too little sleep for a week, and yesterday's 8-hour stint on the worst interstate ever (with heavy downpours, no less!)

Last time, on GT's cooking show

>Really, it's not a secret--I just use 2 1/2 times as much water as rice, bring it to a boil, then turn the heat way down for about 40 minutes! DON'T peek! Perfect (brown) rice every time! (The REAL secret is what I put INTO the rice. . . Ha HAAA!)

OFG agrees completely, unless its short grain brown rice and then take the water ratio to 2x1. Not only don't peek, don't lift cover, don't stir, and after you turn it off leave it sitting for 10 minutes to absorb all the steam before opening.
I use a glass pan so I can see for myself that it's not burning on the bottom, but otherwise you must simply have faith.

>Really should be an AA, to bring the numbers closer to equal before the merge.

Whatever is your interstate-dulled brain thinking GT, or do you really think the writer can't count? You repeated this on the vote thread.

There's no before the merge; this is the merge, and the numbers are 5-5. Or do you need 5-4 in favor of BB's to get a level playing field? Perhaps this comment of yours was actually input for Ep 6 and through a computer lag has only just now posted in a thread for Ep 7. I've heard things are lagging around here.

Lots of great speculation on alliances here. Should be interesting. What we need and didn't get is some indication of the nature of the first individual IC.

Hint, hint, ICB, like on Thursday on the Early Show?

OFG--I certainly do look forward to having someone competent to share the cooking duties! Honestly, this makes it less like a vacation getaway and more like working staff at the old Boy Scout summer camp. . . tiresome after a while!

And the numbers thing? Duuuuh! I've gotten so used to being outnumbered, I didn't actually bother to count! (How lame is THAT?) At least I have the stoner image going for me, and people won't think much of my faux pas.

And I second the request for something meaty on the Early Show!

A different angle based on the title:
And Then There Were None: Agatha Christie novel where ten people isolated together are picked off one by one (I was talking to either dabo or Sherpa about this book awhile back in chat).

You expect the Final two will include the murderer and someone else, but the murderer turns out to be one of the victims who "died" earlier and has been lurking.

Could it be Vamps, the undead? Could "dies?" refer to a faked death?

Alternately, to "die" is an archaic term for having an orgasm, familiar to anyone who's ever taken a Shakespeare class, and ICB's a pretty literary guy.
