Hi, my friends....

I'm putting this up to bring attention to a couple things going on that can help the disaster relief effort - nothing too huge, but every bit helps! I know the main ones like the Red Cross are huge, but these are small tokens that we all can do.

First off, if you're in the process of cleaning out your closets, hop on over to ebay! Ebay is in the proces of having what's called the "Auction for America". By agreeing to list your auction within that category, the high price of your end bids will go automatically to the disaster relief funds. I plan on re-listing the rest of my paintings that didn't sell (which, to be honest and humble, are all of them except the ones bought by Dabs, Misto and LadyT, LOL!!! Okay, so I ain't Picasso just yet!), plus some other junk laying around the apartment - it's all going to this big auction for the relief effort!

The second thing I wanted to mention is an effort being made by The Vermont Teddy Bear Company (they make some truly gorgeous and adorable bears!). The web addresss is http://www.vermontteddybear.com, and here's what they're doing. The company is donating a whole mess of three different kinds of bears - a bunch of fireman bears, a bunch of policeman bears and a bunch of angel bears - to the children of the WTC victims who were killed, just to bring these poor kids a little bit of comfort. And, here's the thing - if you go to their website, you can leave a personal message that will be attached (on a card) to a bear going out to all of these kids.

Even if you have nothing to ebay, all of us can take a second to type in a message that will go out on a teddy bear to these children.
