Since LoudPhil is part of the cast he probably had a demand that filming didn't take place during the over month-long World Series of Poker events, especially the Main Event.Since that finished up just over a week ago, if they don't have the filming in the can already, they can safely begin now (for the most part, since he goes to soooooooo many tournaments, but the World Series is the one he really loves to go to...)
I don't think they'd anounce the cast until the thing had actually filmed -- too much risk of someone walking out on their contract beforehand, getting another committment, or realizing that the window isn't locked and Janice could get back in.From what the houseguests have said, filming typically takes place over two weeks, so the number of tournaments missed is pretty minimal.
