While I think that they have done a few things right (more difficult clues, occasionally having teams work together), they have done more wrong (too much product placement/mentioning, inconsistent/made up on the fly rules, poor editing, three person teams already nicknamed). However, the stuff that is wrong can be fixed. And some interesting twists could be added to make the good stuff better. However there are 2 flaws that will be very difficult to get past, in my opinion. One is the fact that it started in the summer and got poor ratings so there is not much of a runway to take off from (in other words very little "buzz"). The other is that they put so much into the whole secret society, spy game, cryptic treasure theme that it will be difficult to top and so we will be relegated to a glorified scavenger hunt if this show has future seasons. What do you guys think?
