Preview for tomorrow's show:

PRESIDENT PALMER COMES DOWN HARD ON JACK AND TONY, HECTOR AND RAMON FACE-OFF ABOUT WHAT TO DO WITH JACK. President Palmer comes down hard on Jack and Tony when he learns he was being kept in the dark on matters of national security. Meanwhile, Hector and Ramon face-off in a heated exchange about what to do with Jack. Source: FOX

Spoilers: (hidden text below- nothing really major- but in case you don't want to know)

Chase pursues Jack into Mexico and is intercepted by terrorists. Kim breaks her promise to Chase and reports him to CTU. Claudia, Hector's girlfriend is distancing herself from him. Ramon still does not accept Jack as Hector does. Tony is close to losing his job for keeping Palmer in the dark about Jack. Anne confronts her ex-husband who is desparate and puts a gun to his head. Chase finds out who really controls the virus- not the Salazar's. Nina will return next episode- possibly as a CIA operative with connections to the virus.

FYI- I don't know for sure if all of these events will occur on tonight's episode, but I have "sources" that indicate these events are upcoming.

I am getting very curious about Claudia- Hector's girlfriend.

Do you get the F/X channel? Sometimes they re-broadcast FOX shows on F/X. I don't have access to a channel guide right now.

Check you local listing for midnight- I can see some FOX affiliates on the TVguide.com satellites listings that are re-broadcasting 24 tonight at midnight.

This is very interesting. How did all of those people at Los Nieves know exactly when/where Chase was going to land? Strikes me as kinda fishy... I'm beginning to wonder about Chloe or that Adam guy (is that his name?).

Good episode though!

they could have seen the plane since it would have had to pass through their airspace. Maybe they got suspicious?

Wow, this show has had a big turn-around. Much better than I thought it was getting.

Here's re-cap for Breezy.

Jack has a Ukranian contact named Michael Amador (?) that has the virus. He wants to sell it to the Salazar's. Jack and Tony were in on this the whole time. Jack was the one that dumped the infected body at CTU Medical. Jack had a former relationship with Claudia- Hector's gf. Chase goes after Jack but is captured in Mexico. Tony collapses at CTU but recovers. Anne goes to her ex to get letters that will clear her. Her ex gives her the letters then he commits suicide. Anne ends her relationship with Pres Palmer. Ramon tell Jack to kill Chase if he is really with the Salazar's. Jack holds a gun to Chase's head and click- not loaded.

Next episode January 6, someone- another man confronts Palmer about his brother being untrust-worthy. Michelle questions Tony's competency. Jack and the Salazar's prepare to meet with Michael Amador (?) to get the virus but another person (a woman with dark hair) appears on the scene. Amador decides to auction the virus to the highest bidder.

You're so sweet. I stayed up and watched it 11 last night. It was a good episode.

I also wondered about how they knew Chase was there so quick. So how is Jack going to signal CTU now? Chase broke his watch!

Last night was great. Hubby and I kept saying how is Jack gonna get out of this?! Stupid, rash, younggun Chase, you broke Jack's watch stooooopid!

I think it is cool that NINA is gonna be the other bidder! Jack is going to implode on that one.

I think Hector's girl will help Jack and Chase get out of this. Or maybe Kim will go all comanndo on us and save the day! Yeah right minnie you are dreaming!

I forgot the bit about the broken watch transponder- now they can't track Jack's location.

DH and I were sitting there saying- did Jack know the gun was empty- could he tell from the weight or something?

I believe the dark haired woman is Nina Myers (Sarah Clarke). She will somehow be involved in bidding against the Salazar's to get the virus. Can't wait to see the look on Jack's face. If you recall, Nina was given a full pardon by Pres Palmer last season.

What is up with the supposed Ukranian- Michael Amador? He certainly doesn't have a Ukranian-sounding accent.

I don't think they said he specifically was a Ukranian, just that he was representing them.

Was that the same man who hired Mandy to infect President Palmer last season?

ooo, good question, I don't know. The actor's name is Greg Ellis.

ETA: I don't think this actor appeared on 24 before, he previously appeared in the movie Pirates of the Caribbean.

I enjoyed my last episode until March - sure wish I'd be able to see Nina when she debuts.

Will Sherry be back to comfort David now that Anne is dropping out (thank you for that - she connected with me as much as Kim - good riddance)?

Someone should run an over/under on the number of times a gun is put to someone's head and the trigger pulled whether it goes off or not. Including the prison scenes, we're up to at least 4 or 5.

Also - will Jack survive the season? I'm doubting whether it'll be back for another year so he might as well get eliminated!

According to Entertainment Weekly, it's still doing fine ratings-wise, so I'd be surprised if Fox pulled the plug on it.

I had read somewhere last season, that as Executive Producer, Keifer Sutherland felt any and all characters were expendable including Jack.

I read that too. Given how demanding his schedule must be, I wouldn't be surprised if Keifer decided to step out at some point. But if handled properly, the show could continue. For example, Chase may turn out to be an intriguing character to put at the center of the next situation and carry on the theme of CTU fighting against these huge risks to the nation.

I was just saying that I don't see Fox pulling the plug, given the weakness in so much of its schedule.

I agree- I don't think they'll pull the plug on the show, and I think they introduced a new male character- Chase on purpose this season.

ETA- I wouldn't be surprised to see Palmer go either, Dennis Haysbert was up in the air for this season anyway.

While I'm a huge Dennis Haysbert fan, I'll admit that seeing him in the AllState ads kinda messes up the whole bit for me. I still think Palmer's going to get reelected.

I was just making the silly a-- assumption that Jack/Kiefer is looking tired and worn out and that I just don't see him coming back for another season. It'll be interesting to me how the season works out - can they keep the audience? The new twists look like they'll substain for awhile. I'm agreeing that Chase could keep it going if Jack does go out. I'm just thinking that he'll not make it all the way.

And, Haysbert should have had something in his contract excluding him from doing stupid commercials - it's just awful to think that "our" president is going to advertise for an insurance company. Now, Jack advertising beer - that works for me. Speaking of which, wish I had a cold N/A right now. Guess I'll have to go grab some cookie dough and milk instead.
