Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh -- Sherry's comin' back tonight!
A fly JSlice creation!
How many times did they have to show the last scene (minus 3 seconds, big freakin' deal) as a preview for the show??? Talk about ruining the suspense. The rest of the episode was so good, but that ticked me off so much. What a way to ruin an ending that would have shocked the crud out of the viewers if it hadn't been spoiled.
I am the embodiement of snarky, sarcastic and smart. I am also the S7 Anti-Bootee co-champion!
So what's the big deal with keeping it from Kim that Nina is now where Jack is? She's a big girl, supposedly working at an intelligence agency....if she can't handle having all the info then she shouldn't be working there.
OK, I was flipping back and forth between "24" and "Celebrity Poker Showdown" but here's a quick summary of last night's show.Tony is still in charge at CTU but he's disappointed that Michelle had doubts about him. The President is in hot water due to Wayne's affair with Milikin's wife. Jack convinces the Salazar's that the way to get the virus is to find Nina Meyers.
Commercial for Careerbuilders.com about a guy trying to escape from work by wearing a bear suit. Flip to Celebrity Poker, Paul Rudd, Nicole Sullivan and David Cross are in the final 3. David Cross is wearing a bathrobe.
Back to 24, Claudia's little brother Sergio tells Hector that Claudia is planning to leave, Claudia covers her tracks. Wayne meets with his former lover who wants him back. The Salazar's men torture Chase to get information. They shoot him in the hand and then pour gasoline on it- OUCH!!!
Commercial for Careerbuilders.com about a guy trying to escape from work by faking an injury with a bookshelf and some ketchup. Flip to Celebrity Poker, Paul Rudd is eliminated- who woulda thunk it?
Back to 24, Ben Affleck makes a guest appearance as a special ops... wait a minute that's still Celebrity Poker. Jack gets info from Gael about Amador's location and Jack and Ramon go to find Nina. Claudia helps Chase escape but during the getaway she is killed by gunfire. (OK, who picked Claudia as first to die? I sure didn't, I thought she was going to hook up with Jack.) Weird story line about Chloe and her babysitter. Chloe brings her baby to work and has a confrontation with Chapelle. Meanwhile, Jack finds Nina but is captured.
Back to Celebrity Poker, Nicole Sullivan is the winner and she's taking about neutering cats.
Back to 24, there's a big pile of money on the table. Wait, that's still Celebrity Poker. President Palmer decides to fight dirty. He makes a phone call to (ta-da!) Sherry and arranges to meet with her. Back with Jack and Nina, caution graphic content follows, Nina asks Jack to prove himself and leans closer. Jack and Nina kiss! (remember to wash out mouth with soap later Jack)
Next week:
American Idol premieres and 24 gets bumped for the State of the Union Address.

...what the heck "exiled immunity" is???
And let's just pretend that the concept wasn't the single dumbest thing this show has ever tried to pass off on its viewers (and no, I'm not forgetting the amnesia)....is it really a good idea to send a terrorist with immunity to live the rest of her life in the terrorist hotbed of North Africa?
After watching that I was thinking that FUX would've been better off if they simply didn't even bother trying to explain what Nina was doing out of prison.
![]()
Yeah, and the way they "explained" how she got out of North Africa too, "uh we just lost track of her or sumpin"

welcome O shrunken spinning one
When David pardonned Nina, he exiled her to Los Angeles so that she would 'suffer the same fate as those she had endangered'....a la the nuclear bomb (24-2).

OK - I admit dropping in for a quick fix - maybe I will pick up watching when I get back. And thanks B&W for the summary above. Great to see (or hear about) Sherry and Nina being back.I sure don't know what you're talking about exactly on the Nina/North Africa thing, but how could she get away? From what I see here it'd be the easiest thing in the world. You think New York is busy and populated with people on the streets? Not even close compared to Dakar!
OK - that's all.
Hope I can stop in quickly for a couple more summaries in Feb.

The two biggest surprises of this episode:1. Claudia died. I thought for sure she'd last all 24 hours.
2. Chloe has a baby? Someone actually impregnated freakazoid Chloe? Wow!

a JSlice original. isn't she something?
Yeah, I was surprised that Claudia died. See! They can still surprise me after all this time. I thought for sure her Daddy-O was going down. The Chloe thing is weird. Is it just dumb stuff like Michelle's brother was last year or is it a set-up to have her baby at work because a) she is going to bolt and wants to be ready or b)she knows something is going down outside CTU like the virus.

Ok, now nobody get mad at me or anything but...
I am not liking this season much. Hubby and I are finding way too many " flaw in the plot" ( as we like to say as we point out some lame crap that doesn't make sense) moments. And there are too many parts I am lost about. Ok, so the dead bodies, the ones they buried in a mass grave that suppodedly died of the virus? The body that was sent to LA with the virus? Did they explain that and I missed it? Salazars didn't have the virus yet.
The Nina walking out of exile thing was way too stupid ( I agree with Shakes that it was worse than the anmesia, but only because season one was a better season overall til tha point)
I liked Claudia DAMMIT! I wanted to see more of her character, she was complex and entertaining. If they want to kill her off later? Fine, but her story could have been better.
Tony walking around running things just 2 hours after his surgery? Ridiculas plotline. If they need him for the story, don't make him close to death, make it a flesh wound, and bring the guy back, but making him close to death and having major sugery to save his life, then get out of bed to save the world? Dumb ( though sadly I may have bought that if it had been Jack *wink*)
It's still a well acted drama, and one of those shows I never miss, but the show has lost it's touch in a lot of ways.
I won't stop watching, but I am finding this season a bit dissapointing.
Here, here, Buggy.Last week I spent more time with Celebrity Poker than 24 - and I love this show. To enjoy it properly, one must suspend disbelief to some degree but what the writers are throwing at us this year, well, I can't just suspend logic.
That said, am very glad to see Nina again. Love me some Nina. Hopefully the two villanous women will provide some spark to what has been a pretty below average season to date.
And Kim is even more annoying this year. How the heck is that possible?
Ok, now nobody get mad at me or anything but...
no, never!Ok, so the dead bodies, the ones they buried in a mass grave that suppodedly died of the virus? The body that was sent to LA with the virus? Did they explain that and I missed it? Salazars didn't have the virus yet.
The explanation was the Salazar's were given a demonstration of the virus so they could see how effective it was. Also, it was explained that Jack Bauer himself delivered the body to LA. It was all part of the plot to get Jack back in with the Salazar's.
I liked Claudia DAMMIT! I wanted to see more of her character, she was complex and entertaining. If they want to kill her off later? Fine, but her story could have been better.
yeah, I thought Claudia would end up as Jack's love interest this season
I won't stop watching, but I am finding this season a bit dissapointing.
I think we all agree, I think they are having difficulty keeping up the real-time 24 hour premise of the show.
