"Once Again, Last Night's 24"

Okay, I broke down and watched. I must say, I don’t get the show’s creators. What was President Palmer doing in that white shirt and glasses, calling everyone “Dawg”? Who was the evil British guy? Is he the one behind the whole plot? Why was Penny wearing that funky outfit? What does any of it have to do with singing? And why the mid-episode switch to a comedy theme? Better than last week’s episode, but still a long way’s to go before we get back to classic 24.

Sherry wasn't wearing the funky outfit. She was the one they wouldn't let sing, so she sat in the front row and plotted her revenge.

I think the evil British guy was the one that knows all about Jack and ordered the virus released in that hotel.

Speaking of singing, I thought Wayne Palmer did a decent job on that gospel song, but the way Chase was gyrating around in that T-shirt was a little embarrassing.

Chase was embarassing, but he wasn't even half as embarassing as Kim was singing "So Emotional." And don't get me started on Michelle's version of "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face."

First, let's get one thing straight - I DO NOT watch American Idol. Bebo is My American Idol and that's enough.

However, I must respond because there was a time when "The First Time Ever I saw Your Face" actually was something I liked. Since I listen to so little music it might have been fun.

I did tune in for the second half hour and it has some promise. Some of what happened made as much sense as the twists on 24.
