Tonight on 24...

Jack realizes he has a connection to Stephen Saunders, a man from Jack's past presumed dead. Meanwhile, Saunders forces President Palmer to hold a televised press conference. Source: FOX

The link is found between Jack and Saunders, who makes his first demand of Palmer; Jack uses a legal loophole against a new witness; Michelle lobbies to ease the pain of the infected. Tomlinson: Simon Templeman. Diana: Gabrielle Fitzpatrick. O'Laughlin: Michael Cavanaugh. Alvers: Lothaire Bluteau. Saunders: Paul Blackthorne. Phillips: Doug Savant. Gael: Jesse Borrego. Source: TV Guide

No hidden text this week because everything was revealed in last week's preview.

As people begin to get sick from the virus as the hotel, Michelle asks Tony for a supply of suicide pills. Saunders demands that President Palmer hold a news conference and use the phrase "the sky is falling".

Well, OK, just one... (hidden text below)

One of Saunders demands is going to be that Ryan Chapelle must be killed.

I wonder what kind of press conference the Prez will call so that he can work in that phrase.

Does the phrase trigger the bomb that Jack is trying to diffuse?

Is it 9 o'clock yet?

I gathered from the preview that Palmer is going to hold a press conference to announce that some kind of terrorist threat has been identified and he'll say "but that doesn't mean the sky is falling". Don't know the significance of that phrase, but there is a bomb tonight apparently that detroys some evidence that leads to Saunders.

Nicely called on the press conference - are your sources that good or are you just rockin' with your predictions?

Oh heck, I can't wait for next week now. I wanna see Jack shoot Chapelle.

Tony didn't look so good last night, he should go home and go to bed.

deju vu all over again - Chapelle becomes slightly human and he's gotta die - just like last season with what's his name flying the plane to ground zero with the bomb.

I'll be sorry to see Michele go - was she just putting out false hope to the hotel guy last night saying something like only a few people will be immune - or was the 100% fatal comment the true one? Maybe she'll be one of the last infected and last a few more hours. I'll actually be glad when the hotel drama is over other than her - watching people bleed and suffer is getting old already.

Otherwise I enjoyed it - nice to have the Tuesday night fix again - speaking of that - just remembered Jack is an addict this season - what's happened with that - remember I missed about 6-7 episodes.

Bawdy - you rock navigating us through the show!!

I thought the infection rate was 90%, someone correct me if I'm wrong. But 10% of those in the hotel will be immune.

Just say no to trolls.

Yeah, I'm confused (no surprise there). I heard something about immunity, but then there was another comment made last night I believe that said 100% mortality (though on reflection, that could be for those who aren't immune and contract it - maybe that's the answer to my question).

That is the answer to the question - approximately 90% will contract, and 100% of those who do will die. But it was confusing the way it was presented.

"Great Episode!"

This is one of the best episodes I've seen in awhile. Had a bit of action, Kim was barely visible, and the President's plotline actually made sense.

Can you believe how much this season has evolved from the beginning? Has any other season changed so much? Jack was working with the Salazars, Gael is supposedly "a spy," Tony gets shot, all that Kyle Singer stuff, the Presidential scandal with Anne...

Makes me wonder what the point of the Sherry incident was. She just kinda disappeared.

I'm kinda sad that Michelle is going to leave the show soon. She was one of my more favorite characters. The hotel incident is very sad indeed.

I noticed also how they "humanized" Chapelle at the last second. A lot of deaths this week. Gael, most notably. We're finally around that time of the season where main characters get killed off. Man, Tony must be invincible. There aren't too many characters who've made it through all the seasons (Jack, Kim, Pres, Sherry also). Tony must be one of "the gang", huh?

I'm trying to figure out what the point of having Chase around is though. Besides knocking down whats-her-name.

This is totally unconfirmed and just speculation on my part.

I suspect there will be an antidote to the virus.

I also suspect that Jack might be gone this season and that Tony and/or Chase will become the action hero next season.

Palmer is also almost surely done.

(So far the show has not been picked up for a 4th season yet.)

just my 2 cents

Not picked up, but I think ratings are improving - so I want to believe it looks good.

However, Jack is gone. Will that affect the show overall - not so sure - I think there'll be another replacement we haven't seen. I don't see Chase or Tony carrying it like Jack.

Palmer - gone. Too bad, 'cause that means Sherry is gone too. But, what else could she do?

Antidote to the virus? How can there be unless Saunders holds it. NHS, or whatever told Tony nothing - and even 24 can't come up with an antidote within 3 or 4 hours.

Still wondering - when and how did Jack kick the habit? At least, I haven't seen any signs of withdrawel in the past two weeks.

Not much was said about the habit after the initial outing of it. They kind of just let that line drop without any resloution (at least none that I can remember).

Good episode last night, especially since I didn't see Kim's face in it much!

I agree L8. The less Kim, the better.

I'm so happy 24 is back on without interruptions. It's going to be a bumpy, wild ride! Yay!
