If you look at the camera close-ups, her ACTUAL, REAL-LIFE figure is just beautiful. The camera is adding 15 lbs. at least. I do not think any awkwardness she has is due to the baby weight. She's just unsure of herself being with the skating newb.
Just thought I would start a Nancy/Dave thread, I have always loved Nancy and I hope they win!!!
With all the extra baby weight she looks so awkward, not graceful looking at all so far.

Extra weight? I guess I don't see it. She did gain weight after babies, but she took it off. She isn't quite as rail-thin as she used to be, but I see nothing the least bit fat about her.
IMO, a cow would be more graceful on the ice, and it has nothing to do with baby weight, or skating with a newb.

I so agree. No matter what she (Nancy) does she can't hide her ugly personality.
I really do like Nancy and Dave and I'm happy to see Dave's improved skating. The outfit he wore last night was rather distracting to me. But it fits with his comdedic personality.Not to offend the big Nancy/Dave fans....but I really think they should have been the ones to go last night. Despite the falls and such of the other teams, this team just didn't seem to have it together. I don't know.... but I do like them!!

Well, alas, they are gone. I already smelled it coming this week, and it was definitely the right choice. Nancy really does not appear to have pair skating skills, and Dave, although he has improved greatly, just hasn't got it. Comparing the grace of Tai with Nancy...well, there is no comparison.

Makes me have all the more respect for Ekaterina Gordeeva, who went from pairs to solo. That reminds me, I MUST look online for that video tape of her and her husband who died and buy it. Absolutely sublime. It was done quite a while back. They gave me chills with their effortless performances. I don't believe anyone has equalled them yet, let alone top them.
I agree, DooWah. Ekaterina and Sergei were my favorite pairs skaters. They were so beautiful together & you could feel the love between them.I HIGHLY recommend the book Ekaterina wrote shortly after Sergei's death "My Sergei." It is a beautiful story of how their lives together skating as partners and falling in love.
That was such a sad day when Sergei died so suddenly and so young.

You know, I'm glad I'm finally off this show. Nancy was the most BORING person I have ever been stuck spending time with. That girl needs to get a personality. I was actually surprised she had a sense of humor. I spent more time cracking jokes than learning to figure skate, because all she wanted me to do was tell jokes. But man, when she laughed, those huge teeth of hers looked like they were going to chomp my head off. I'm surprised her neck can hold those teeth up. That's the real reason we didn't do any real lifts, that chick is H E A V Y!! You know, her teeth would make a great Zamboni.Well, back to hockey and NOT showing my feminine side. Figure skating is a little pansy for a manly man like me.
