"Where to find a REAL life coach?"

Posted by cynicalgirl on 05-26-06 at 02:23 AM
While I would like to have a lifecoach, and go through some of the exercises seen on the show, I would not want to be videotaped throughout.

Where does one find a life coach in real life? I certainly wouldn't go to any of the people on Rhonda's website. For one thing, they seem to be smelling the same crap at that attitude, I mean, altitude.

Rhonda, you didn't do a good enough job selling your system on your own weekday infomercial!

Part of the reason I wouldn't buy into Rhonda's system is the fact that she has been relying on Andy Paige's advice for style.

I would LOVE to be an editor with a plethora of photos of Rhonda in show attire in front of me. How painfull it would be to choose something nice to say about her wardrobe.

That said, Rhonda is a nice lady and means well. But she's seeking advice from someone else whose fashion sense mimics her own.

And yet, they're both out there on national TV. At lease until the new shows start in September. (And that means shows that aren't SO.)

If you google "life coach certification" you can find a couple of groups that certify people to do this kind of work. Usually places like that also have referal lists.

If you really want to hire a Rhonda-esque LC, go to her website (you can find that link on the "compilation and links thread" In General Discussion). She provides an alphabetical listing of Fearless Living Certified Coaches around the country. Once you get there, you'll see three areas you can click on. Go to the "Support" section. When that comes up, just look around and you'll find everything you need to know.

I don't know where you live, but maybe you'll get lucky and find someone local. I have no idea what it costs to hire a coach, but I read that the FL certification costs between $5,000 - $7,000.

Good luck!

Hell-o! But I don't WANT someone who is involved with Rhonda and her shammy methods. Anyone can go to her website and find her trained coaches (who seemed to be based in the Denver area, so I'm guessing she's had a few training sessions out there).

And I'm certainly not spending that kind of money for someone with no credentials.

Has anyone else been able to find Rhonda's credentials?

I wouldn't want to have anything to do with anyone associated with Rhonda either. Two reasons: First, she is has an obsession with Andy. It's sick. If you go to Rhonda's blog, all she ever talks about is Andy this, Andy that. It's just not right.
Second, I really thought it was inappropriate when Rhonda asked Antonia if she was a virgin. It's none of her business!! That was out of line.

CG,

How the hell did I miss that??? I'm glad you feel that way, I just can't understand how I didn't see it the first time. Weird. My apologies.

You can find Life Coaches all over the place now. Anyone who wants to up their non-existent credentials but claim their life experiences as training can do so - there is no "accrediation" except from bogus schools like the Santa Monica one that Allisham is getting her spiritual psychology degree from (unaccrediated BTW).

Just do a search on the internet. If you have a specific area you want to work on (weight loss, relationships etc...) I would put that in the field also to narrow the search.

One of the main networks is starting a new show with two LIFE COACHES - I think the reality title is How to get the boy. It's to show the selected women how they can win a man. I'm sure it's going to be a flirt-a-thon and makeup show. Hopefully, Andy Paige will be ABSENT.

There are several places to find quality coaches. Check to see if any of your local private accredited colleges offering a life coaching program and ask for a referral. My coaching classes were credits toward a psychology degree.

Also, check any local holistic magazines, referral services, etc.

Also, google Coachville and see if they have someone in your area.
