"The Alcohol Ban"

I must have missed something about the new rules of no alcohol in the house.I thought it was just for in the house. Were there rules stated that a HG could not have a glass of wine outside of the house. For example in a restuarant.I think Niambi should have been able to have a glass of wine with her meal. Was it against the rules or was it to supprt Christie?I am somewhat confused.

A quick search of "alcohol" in the subject line turns up 4 threads discussing it (3 in GD, 1 in IH). And, I only searched the last 2 weeks. I think this discussion is the primary one and will give you the information you seek.

I got the feeling that the rule was no alcohol in the house and they were expected to support Christie and not get drunk around her. I think Niambi should have just ordered a drink and not been apologetic about it in the least. Niambi sounded like she just wanted a single drink with dinner-a very responsible way to drink. How is Christie going to survive in the real world if no one is ever allowed to drink in front of her...does she think her sobriety is that fragile. Now, I agree that drunkeness like what happened with Kim that night is wrong in the SO house and more than a drink with dinner should be discouraged since it would probably interfere with their progress (all the feelings coming up and they want to imbibe a depressant?), but expecting no one to ever drink at all is unreasonable....they are adults!
