We have discussed questions that have been raised over whether or not there is, or can be, an area added to the chat section for the discussion of SO. Our answer is a qualified, yes. Qualified because a section can be added, but neither Cyg, Bebo, nor I have the capability of doing so. Cyg has placed a request on your behalf with the moderator who handles that area. However, this individual is extremely busy, particularly at this point in the year, and we don't know 1) how difficult a task the addition may be given our current software, and 2) when he will have a chance to respond.
In the meantime, there are 3 chat rooms currently in existance for shows that no longer air. While a couple of them do air in repeats on some cable and satellite channels, I do not believe I have seen "The Mole" do so. So, until a separate SO chat room has been added, there should be no issue with your "appropriation" of that room for the purpose of discussion.
Of course, the other chat rooms are available for your visitation, as well. But, be aware that, like our forums, peeps visiting them are usually there to discuss that particular topic. In other words, visiting the Survivor room and introducing discussions about American Idol or SO will probably not earn a warm welcome.
That's why the suggestion of appropriating an otherwise "dead" forum.
At any rate, we'll let you know when and if a separate room gets added, meanwhile, have fun chatting in your temporary home.
Note: The same rules of conduct that apply to the forums, PM's, and e-mail apply to chat. Keep it civil and don't bash each other. Be aware that moderators can, and do, check in from time to time, and discussions may be logged.
