If you ask couples who have been married a long time what their secret is they almost always say communication.
As I understand it, ALL living things are predisposed to procreate. (BTW, did you see March of the Penguins?) If men "are built to spread their seed," paraphrasing Dr. Stan, does that give them a little leniency in keeping their vows?
I agree that communication is the key to keeping a relationship alive. Putting the good of "us" above the good of "me" is right up there, too. For both partners.
