I was watching the show today and thinking that I have actually been enjoying it more these last couple of weeks than I have all season. It has almost gotten back to the original concept. No one has had to sit in a box or cage, dress up like a baby or go through any cleansing ceremonies. It also seems as if Dr. Stan is in it more and Iyanla less, so perhaps this is why I'm liking it more. It also seems as if more specialists in different fields are being consulted. I just hope that it is not too little, too late.

LMAO You're so right that Dr. Stan is there more and Iyanla less..I think that this is a BIG factor in why I'm enjoying it more too. He should have been there more all along! Kim and her Mother's issues certainly warranted it, and now that Iyanla's on vacation he continues to bee there on a much more appropriate basis. I'm liking it too.

I love seeing more of Dr Stan; I think he advances the HG's progress more than any of them. I wish there was more Iyanla and a little less Rhonda. That's just my prefernce of the two.

Also, any of you out there watch QVC? There is a host that reminds me of Rhonda and could be her sister.

I was glad to see Cassie return, as I wondered how she was progressing. The talk she had with Rhonda was heartfelt and revealing. More of Dr. Stan is always a good thing. But, another BOR should be scheduled.

Oh yeah... we did go through all that didn't we. I can't help but wonder what the heck did they think they were doing?

But I do see a production arc here. I think they were trying to be sensational as a way to grab all kinds of viewers in the fall, figuring the regular viewers would still stick with it... which I think we did. And then they would go out with a bang, representing what the show and the issues are really about.

Even if the show gets cancelled, right now is an interesting time to watch - because I think they're trying to put it all out there. All can be learned and thought about.

I think you are right about the sensationalism, but I don't know if it was successful or not. I see Rhonda being softer than she was at the beginning, perhaps without Iyanla's influence. Remember how often they would threaten to kick someone out. The coaching is feeling more like the first season with Rhonda and Rana. I did have a flashback yesterday when Jodi was in the park talking about offering something up to the universe. I'm not sure the universe wants the soggy, wet leaves.

It's clear to me now that the reason that I was liking SO more was definitely because Iyanla was off doing her Spiritual Counseling. Iyanla is back one day and the commotion level just rises. Not sure that I got the whole fire drill, and Lisa jumping in the pool with her clothes on was not as significant to me as it seemed to be for everyone else. So I guess I'm changing my original post to mean that I like SO more when Iyanla is not on it.
