I can't beleive how insensitive Kim's roommates are to her. She has had to live with the knowledge that her mother abandonded her. She is not going to get over it over night. Plus I don't think her mother was to convincing when she told her she would come and visit. Kim didn't have to be such a brat when it came to her part, but would you be able to be happy after the last couple days she has had? I liken it to being hurt (like something that needs stiches) and going to a party and pretend that it doesn't hurt. She just found out what she was always afraid of, that her mother choose a man over her. In her eyes she didn't matter. They need to give her a little slack. Would they act the same if it were them?
