I am very much a fan of Iyanla and I have been wondering what's up with her absence from the show the past few days. It seems like they have Dr. Stan as a fill in LC. Pleeeeeeze!!! I do not care for him and never have. I actually did not see why they found the need to bring a man into the mix in the first place. They could have very well found a female psychologist. I am not a man hater I just don't care for Dr. Stan. Do anyone know what's going on? Are they trying to tell us something? I for one will probably drop this show next season if I have to put up with Rhonda and Dr. Stan.

you won't have to drop the show next season.
the chances of the show being renewed are beyond slim!
there are times when we never see rhonda for days.. and the same with dr stan..not seeing iguana isnt anything to worry about.lol

As much as I like the show, it's probably better that it is cancelled. The show seems more like a commercial for the sponsors.
The assignments are getting cheesy and the house is loosing it's integrity. I became a fan when the couples started. I felt that was more real. Now it just looks like a soap opera under the pretense of a "reality" tv.

When we don't see Rhonda or Iyanla for "days", that's days in TV time, not real time.

I've been asking about Iyanla for a couple of days. Unfortunately, I didn't read all the rules, so I was chastised for asking about her on the individual houseguest forum. Excuuuuuse Me! Anyway, in yesterday's preview, I saw Iyanla in a short clip. She appeared to be wielding an air horn and breaking things up. Can't wait to see what happens. I agree that Dr. Stan's exercises seem somewhat far-fetched. I did think giving Kim her own room for anger was a reasonable move, however.

I like Dr. Stan and Rhonda but can hardly tolerate Iyanla. I don't like her fake laugh, fake fainting, yelling at the HG and doing stupid things like magic potions and yelling to the Universe expecting it to all make things magically fall into place for the HG.

I too am a fan of Iyanla's. There are more than a few of us watching that believe the things she does are very effective and live our lives with these same beliefs. I have had some great successes in my life practicing these things. I too miss her, and I am really hoping that if the show gets cancelled Iyanla gets another show. Rhonda and Iyanla both have taught me a lot of things. I try not to be too judgmental and take the things I feel would be helpful and dismiss the things I see as silly or just for production. I understand there are those who watch the show because they love to hate the people on there. That's ok for them, but some of us genuinely enjoy the show and learn a lot from it. I for one, hope Iyanla returns soon! Maybe she's out making another deal?? Let's hope.

Don't know Don't care! She went so gimmicky and cheesey this season. She always kind of looked a little silly last season but my god the curse that was Allison certainly brought her down to level of bs I never thought possible. It's like once she started working with her and babying her to death, I lost all respect for her.

She is a babbling, squaking idiot, magic potion queen this year. I for one have enjoyed not seeing her om SO the last 2 weeks. It has been refreshing even though I have had to see some of the HG act like they do. I can't feature Iyanla getting her own show at all. She couldn't keep the last show she tried on her own and she had Oprah helping her get started.

This is my first time posting although I have been reading this board for quite a while.

I was wondering where Iyanla was also because even though the life coaches may not be on for several days, hasn't it been like over a week? I think both life coaches and Dr. Stan have their good and bad points, but I think having a Man is good because they need the male perspective.

I personally like Dr. Stan because he isn't as "Out there" as Rhonda and Iyanla can be at times.

I am sad the show is ending, but I don't think it is what it used to be.

Iyanla hasn't been around, and honestly I find I'm not missing her. I think producers behind the show are trying to find a way not to get cancelled, and Dr. Stan has proven to resonate more with viewers because he is more grounded. And thank goodness for Dr. Stan. All those women need some testosterone in the mix.

It seems like since Jill graduated she just kinda dropped out of sight. Jody and Lisa are without a life coach. Thats just wrong. IMO

LOL, maybe she's exhausted from writing/performing that over-the-top speech at Jill's graduation.

If I remember correctly, she also disappeared for a bit after Allison graduated.

I didn't notice that...then again, my brain is mush....interesting though, I wonder if she needs 'decompression' time after investing so much....

I like her, I like Rhonda and Dr. Stan too..if they were all the same, it would be boring as hell. As to it being 'cancelled'...I'll be bummed...I'm addicted! Along with a few lessons of life is the entertainment value..after all, this is a teevee show!

now whats ya say we get some lizzard vittles and see if we can get our Iguana back!

Maybe Allison kidnapped her in a fit of rage when she saw Iyanla coaching someone else in her place. If Allison can't have her she doesn't want anyone else to either. It took a while for her to see the HG that took her place on tv due to the filming schedule and tv time vs. real time.

She's been gone long enough that there is obviously something going on, whether she has lost interest in the SO project, or she is sick-someone mentioned that once, or she is busy or something. This is especially so since the "new houseguest" goes to Rhonda, giving Rhonda 4 people and Rhonda was left giving Lisa2 that bogus "name 50 reasons" assignment-geeze, I could have come up with something better than that!!! You would think that Iyanla would at least leave some assignments for Jodi and Lisa2 to do while she is gone. Jodi is focusing on losing weight, but I think she has way bigger issues to deal with. Lisa2 just sits around and gossips all day and is really really annoying. I wonder if when Cassie leaves (I'm guessing she is not going to be back long, what does she have to do?!?!), if the next HG will go to Rhonda. Are they just phasing out Iyanla? I personally don't like her style of LCing-I don't always care for Rhonda's either....why don't they bring in Dr. Phil and he and Dr. Stan can split up the women....send Kelly to Dr. Phil, he wouldn't let her get away with her manipulation the way Rhonda does!!!!!

I don't know, but I'm enjoying every minute of her being gone. It's nice having Dr. Stan give some real advice and guidance, although there's not even enough of that.

Or maybe she's found a second married man that sparked her interest and is breaking up another marriage.

Maybe she is trying to get her head out of Jill's @ss, I noticed she had a little browner nose than usual at Jill's graduation. Or maybe she's trying to get Jill's head out of her @ss. I'm sure we'll find out soon enough what her hold up is.

We have repeatedly said, and locked or removed threads when not listened to, that discussing previews belong in Spoilers. There have been many reality shows that reveal things to discerning peeps in their previews that other watchers do not want to have spoiled.

I have no desire to ban posters, but spoilers outside of the spoiler forum can lead to it, whether by my hand, or by the hand of another mod - even when the poster didn't mean to spoil.

Unless it is an episode that has already aired - for the purpose of SO, in at least one market, don't discuss it outside of Spoilers.

(Other shows, non-syndicated, are more stringently regulated. For those it is time sensitive, depending upon time zone. As SO is syndicated, various shows air at different times and on different days, in different markets. We give leeway in this case so that discussion is not delayed until any given episode might be played in every market. Don't abuse the leeway.)

I really miss her too. She's the best Life Coach they have. Rhonda is just a joke. Let's not even mention the whole Lisa getting 30 days and then she may get to graduate. Please! She never would have gotten that opportunity with Iyanla. Iyanla makes her women take long hard looks at themselve, and she doesn't pacify them!

She's baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack! And she has the meter set to FULL HAM! Rhonda's gone and she's the only LC in town and she's lovin' it.

The editing today during the group session was too much. I laughed and laughed and laughed. Iguana asked the ladies how they were doing. Iguana was wearing a greenish blue outfit in group but when they did the numerous cutaways where she commented upon each woman's response she was wearing some outfit that made her look like a bulky, talking giraffe. The outfit was brown with white squares on it. There was something about the differences in the mood of each setting that was hilarious. And then there was Iguana in her giraffe outfit trying to sound so lofty and regal and all-knowing. Had to laugh. High on her own magnifigence, I guess. Full of.....
