The other HG's gave her wonderful gifts--praise, encouragement, support--but Allison seemed not to hear them; her response and obsession became what she 'wasn't' getting: a make-over etc.

Even though the other HG's attempted to give her even more--a special dinner--she still could not accept or see the gifts.

I have a lot of the same issues that Allison has, and I want to see her succeed. Maybe she should make a 'gratitude' list? It's very sad to me that she overlooks anything positive and heads right for the negative. She's an unfillable hole.
