Allison REPORTS ....... "I really had some fun learning how to love my body. With my body still being heavily scarred, I went to a lingerie shop and put on bras and real feminine sexy clothes. I had been trying to hide myself in sweatshirts and real baggy clothes through this process. I really learned that it doesn't matter if your body's not the same or has scars. Right now I have no nipples; you can look at me and see that I'm a work in progress. In those clothes, I felt so feminine, so different and amazing. It gave me a real zeal for the future."

You know Allison I'm glad you are learning to love your body...but girlfriend there are some things you really don't need to share ...the absence of nipples is one of those things...

I don't remember her trip to the store being such a huge success. She was resistant to anything the other woman pulled out.

She probably just wanted the other cancer survivor to tell her how to get a boo boo of her own.

I hope it helps expose the false hope of reconstruction. What a heartbreak, to have women go through all of that only to realize they can't make them look real again. I have one friend whose surgeon used skin from her back in her reconstruction. Not only are there no nipples, but -and this is no joke - if you touch her breast, she feels it ON HER BACK.
