The funny thing is that Jeff wasn't really close to spelling technotronics. The letters he had on his board were
T-E-C-T-R-O-N-I-C-S. If he had simply removed the R, he would have tectonics and he would have won. Not that I expected Jeff to know tectonics is a real word and technotronics is not. I have long been wondering if he would have gotten credit for spelling a real word even though he didn't know he was doing it.
