I think he finally realized that the whole world isn't totally in love with him. JD is talented, but now it's looking more and more like MiG or Marty are the people to beat here. Who caught JD's expression when he realized he was in the bottom 3 at some point during the voting?!

Come on, people. I am surprised you didn't catch onto that. They made it the bottom five just to show you JD's face and to get his reaction for the Sunday Night VH1 show. You can bet that JD will be a large focus on that show. It was done for only one reason to add a little drama to this sunday's show. If it was say Ty in the bottom five instead of JD they would of only told you the bottom three.
I think they did it deliberately too. If anything it will rally his fans now and they will vote even more next week. And different fans vote at different times during the voting schedule. So who is to know if he didn't end up near the top of the group by the time voting stopped. But it was a way to put a shock in the show.
I agree, it was done for dramatic effect. But it was still fun to watch JD squirm.

"Priceless" is a great description...and so is "Thunderstruck"!I think he thinks he is so "wonderful" that no one could possibly not vote for him. Ugh. What an ego. Sorry, can't get past the bad attitude and fake 'niceness' to like the guy or his singing.
It's funny, but I always feel that his image is exactly what the producer(s) want it to be. If they really wanted to I bet they could make Jessica out to be more of the super-##### she sometimes seems too. JD just happens to have the looks and talent to be a polarizing force on the show, so they focus on him. Not that he doesn't sport a healthy ego.

Yeah, the bottom 5 with JD was definitely done for dramatic effect. Just like when they show him scowling everytime INXS is praising someone else for their performance. And Suzie bawling when someone is eliminated. It's all for effect!
That's right... I forgot about that "deer in headlights" look he gets when INXS compliments another singer!
do you think it's possible he's psychotic? or bipolar? I mean one week JD was messing up and crying and blamed his sister..then another week he acts all holier than thou and I'm on my own and has this tough attitude.. he's CONFUSING! I wud be scared to go on tour w/ him.. INXS shud be too.

I agree with you, Kitty. Marty is super talented, but sometimes scary! As much as I love him, I think MiG is also fantastic. INXS love the fact that he's from Australia, and as he showed last night, he can play an instrument and sing at the same time (unlike... ummm.. was it Brandon who played guitar and tanked?) JD just needs to grow up. Could you imagine having him on tour with you?!?!?
