I missed the elimination show tonite!Who got the boot? jessica? *fingers crossed*
Brandon got the boot.Jessica, Suzie, and Brandon were the bottom three with Brooke noting that at various times in the voting J.D. and Deanna were also in the bottom three but they pulled out before the end. Ty got the encore performance.
I actually thought all three sang and moved pretty well. After Jessica sang first, I thought she was probably safe. But Suzie did really well with Bitter Tears and they sent her back first. Vocally, Brandon was the weakest but still sang well. He apparently forgot some of the lyrics to his song that I wasn't familiar with.

>with.I am happy that Brandon is gone, but had to agree with his gripe about the song that the band assigned to him. I was not familiar with the song, and don't think it was as "rock star" as the two songs the girls got. Even without the performances, it wasn't hard to predict that Brandon would get the boot based on the song assignments.
but had to agree with his gripe about the song that the band assigned to him.If you're competing to be the lead singer of INXS, you should know every song they have ever done and every lyric to those songs IMO. Maybe it was a little bit of bad luck, but I lay the blame on him for not knowing all INXS songs.

Why did the chicken cross the road? It was poultry in motion.
Brandon was one of my favorites the first 2 weeks, before I knew he couldn't perform well out of his niche. He never seemed to get that he was auditioning for INXS not the Black Crowes, and unless my hearing has gone, after he messed up his performance this evening he was making an excuse and said "I forget lyrics to songs I DO know". Did anyone else hear him say that??Seriously, if I'd thought for weeks I can't imagine I'd come up with a dumber thing to say to the band you're trying to impress. I've added scruffy Brandon to my list of things I wish I could unsee. Now if only I could unhear Jessica's bleating performance of Come As You Are.
Forgetting the lyrics is always bad news, but I have to admit I never could get behind Brandon and it was alot more about his image than his sound. He looks like Neanderthal Man to me.Jessica just looks really resigned. I think she knows from her resident status in the bottom 3 that it is just a short matter of time.

>him say that??Yeah, he said it and I agree it was not too smart. It looked like INXS were trying to throw him a bone by giving him a bluesy song that he could rock out. Not knowing the lyrics was probably the last straw.
He looked like he assembled his entire wardrobe out of a dumpster for Tuesday's performance with the smell to match. A little grungy is fine but with his square jaw, five o'clock shadow and scraggily hair, it's too much. I WOULD vote for him if he was in a competition for a makeover. The Swan anyone?
LAST EDITED ON 08-11-05 AT 09:12 AM (EST)In my opinion Brandon was the best of the three last night. I am guessing INXS's #1 no-no is forgetting lyrics to a song. Personally I consider myself somewhat of an INXS fan and I never heard of the song he was assigned. Brandon after being eliminated gave a dig that the song selected for him was too obsecure.
As for the other two I thought they were horrible. I know both of those songs and Jessica in particular blew it on her song. Honestly if you went to an INXS show and the first song was Disappear and Jessica was singing it I would walk out. It was horrible.
With Suzie, she has no stage presense what-so-ever. She stood there like she was singing Frank Sinatra. The song she sang she should've been moving about better than that. The performance was SO boring. That being said she wasn't eliminated because she shouldn't of been in the bottom three in the first place.
At least with Brandon he was moving around and he was getting the crowd going even to a song that I bet 90% of the audience never heard of. I didn't notice him missing the lyric. I bet no one in the audience did either....WHO HEARD OF THAT SONG????
I think many of you were set beack by his appearance. I thought his appearance wasn't the best. He was looking more and more like Neil Young every week. But that being said he was still better for INXS than Suzie or Jessica. It's ok, I realize that all three would never of won. I just wish I will be watching Brandon over Jessica or Suzie next week. I liked Brandon, I thought he was class. Whether you believe it or not personality has a lot to do with being in a band. JD for example I think would be too high maintenance.
