OUCH!!! Tonight's show had a few high points (Mig, Jordis, Marty, Ty) punctuated by a LOT of painful tunes. I wonder why so many of them were having an "off" week. Heather, Daphna and JD were truly painful. Brandon was bland. Either the partying is getting out of hand, the song choices aren't being made well (umm.. Daphna.. Rock the Casbah, ugh!) or karma's being a beyotch!

I think the songs provided for this week's performance were selected specifically to reveal the ability (or lack thereof) TO HANDLE MELODY. Even Rock The Casbah & Lithium have good melodies, though they call to be sung in a particular style.

Brandon! Have you HEARD the music of INXS? It's very melodic, and you said yourself that you have trouble with that. What are you doing here? Your choice of "Tempted" was a brave pushing of your comfort zone, but it showed your limited vocal range.

Did everyone notice that during JD's performance of "We Are The Champions" the camera honed in on Jordis? I bet she would have done that song wonderfully...
