I don't know.....It may be more personal. But to me it seems kinder the way they did it with INXS...giving critique and praise with each one and alternating with who delivers the blow.lol..at least they know the verdict is coming fast when Tommy takes the mic. Chop chop.
I agree with Catty about Tommy being a major DAW. This gives him a couple minutes of guaranteed television time since A LOT of what he says doesn't make it through the editing process. heh. I don't mind him doing it every week.

Yes I did. I guess I forgot that. It still seemed less contrived to me.
I still can't figure out if Tommy really does feel bad, or if he is just being his DAW self and likes being the center of attention.

Well, this is "The Tommy Lee Project" and he is a producer (EP?). So with him being so involved and responsible for the production it would make sense that he gets the added attention of eliminating the rawkers.
I read in comments from Jason that Tommy is the one that went to Burnett and proposed the idea. Burnett liked it and let Tommy pick his band. Since the whole idea of RockStar SuperNova was his it makes sense that he is the hatchet man.But there is always a designated hatchet man. Last season it was Tim Farris. Nothing unusual about that. Plus, really Tommy has more name recognition than Gilby or Jason.
