Um, if the one dude in the band is a lawyer, and that isn't like a name that no one else could think of, why not file the trademark stuff long ago so that no one else could use it.I'm fairly certain no matter what name they came up with (unless it was extremely off the wall) there would be a band somewhere that had used any name picked before. I can't tell how much the "we have gigs now" is indicative of ongoing sucess even though they have some albums, a few blurbs in a couple of places made it sound like they may have broken up or people had moved on to other bands, but maybe this brought them back together.
I guess we will have to see if punk-dude lawyer can beat whoever the network/rich producers and band members can pay for.
