There will be more Canadian dates later. Don't worry. Garry Gary said they would be playing alot of Canadian sites. But they wanted to just do smaller sites first and get JD and the band some practice first. Here is what was said about it:

The Australian rockers expect to launch a worldwide tour in late January to promote the new disc. Tour will begin in North America, but INXS saxophonist Kirk Pengilly joked, "We should do some warm-up shows in Guam or New Guinea."
Band and ICM are looking at an initial leg of about 30 dates. Agency is doing market research to determine size of venues; the hope is to play places that can generate sellouts in the winter so the band can return in the summer and play a larger venue.

I was about to have serious attitude, because I spent the $45 for premier fan membership for advance tix sales & whatnot. On checking the Web site, fan club members are supposed to be notified about advance sales in the beginning of the week of Oct. 15th.

I actually think I'm going to both the Feb 11th in AC (45 min drive for me) & the Feb 17th in Philly (15 min drive for me) and see J.D. & INXS twice. Yes, I am that obsessed. I'm glad they are playing the smaller venues in my area to ensure good seats no matter what.

LaLaLisa, they are heading down to D.C. on the 18th BUT if you want to see them on the 11th in Atlantic City at the Borgata, it should be a great time.

I was getting ready to be all mad, too! Good to know we'll get advance ticket purchase opps, but it would STILL be nice to get an email with the dates when it first went out, too.

Hmmmm, seeing them twice would be cool! I bet I could get my fiance - did I mention I have a fiance? - to drive up to AC for the show.

I'll get with you to confirm before tix go on sale. How lucky -both the AC and the DC dates are Saturday. Easy for me! Now I just have to convince my fiance to spend both the Saturday before and after Valentine's Day going to see INXS. Hmmmm...I wonder how much that is going to cost me?

I hope they will have more dates here in Canada. For me to see them by this schedule, I would have to drive 2.5 hours, there and back. (5hrs) total driving time. A closer gig would be nice.

I am seriously pissed. The only way I'll get to see them is if I'm willing to drive 5 hours (D.C.) or 6 hours (Philly) and pay for a hotel room. So I guess I'll have to be happy listening to the CD.

I'm such a slut for the blues.

yeah, I'd either have to do Chicago or Minneapolis, which is a hike. With tickets, driving & the hotel, it would easily be a $250 trip. Not to mention the drool rags I'd have to buy.

I'm hoping they at least hit Milwaukee at some point, so I can meet up with dragonflies & party! But.....that's gonna be so far away (time wise)!

INXS is saying this is just Leg One of the North American tour. There will be many more sites and larger venues later in the year.

In answer to emails to INXS.com on Canadian dates they sent this reply:

"Hi"

This batch of dates are just the first leg of the tour. Future Canadian
dates will be announced for later in 2006.

Thanks for your continued support!

info@inxs.com

And another fan asked specifically about Miami and they were told that yes they would be going to the south. So I think they will eventually get to all areas of North America in 2006. These first sites are very small venues and just there to hype the interest for later when the larger arenas aren't filled with hockey and basketball. Or it's warm enough for outside venues.

Don't be fooled by the premium seats for fan club members. I joined a fan club once before because I thought I would get great seats. No floor seats were available for the fan club members and all I was able to do is get seats on the lower bowl behind all the floor seats. I needed binoculors to even see the person. It was an arena show.

Well, I didn't read your warning before I bought tix, even though I'm sure I wouldn't have heeded it.

I logged on at 9:59 my time to get tix and ended up in row Q. WTF??? They sold that many seats in seconds?

I just went to the ticketmaster site & many venues are going on sale this week. And presales have been announced for fan club members.

Prices are generally $32-65. Sounds fairly reasonable.

That sounds VERY reasonable. I was expecting in the $100 range for premium seats. Although, I'm sure my tix at the Borgata in A.C. will be closer to $100, but hopefully the Philly tix will be around $65.
