"Favorite INXS album?"

Posted by photokitty on 09-21-05 at 04:51 PM
When I was doing my post about the lyrics to the two finale songs, I said that SHABOOH SHOOBAH was my favorite INXS album. It made me wonder, what is every one else's favorite? Original albums only, please, not BEST OF, GREATEST HITS, or SHINE LIKE IT DOES, THE ANTHOLOGY (1979-1997) or even LIVE BABY LIVE, which is basically a live greatest hits album. (Which reminds me, I really want to see that concert DVD of theirs...)

Shabooh Shoobah for me, too. It was all downhill after that.

I love them all because each represents for me a different period of my life (ex., The Swing, post high school; Kick, college; X, newly married, etc.). But if I had to pick a favorite, it would be "Welcome to Wherever You Are". What a fun, diverse and smart album that is!

Shabooh Shoobah is my sentimental favorite -- I saw INXS on this tour when I was an Army private in Texas in 1983. My enduring favorite though is Kick.

Need You Tonight was the song that got me interested in INXS in the first place. But since I'm more of a casual fan (only would have been exposed to songs that made it to radio as a non-rocker), I only have individual songs that I happened to like. Need You Tonight, Never Tear Us Apart, Disappear, and Beautiful Girl are my personal faves, though.
