Tonight we are in the Quarterfinals, as we have 5 remaining Stars left. Also, the Instant Dance returns to wreak havoc on the couples, as they know what their second dance will be, but not what song it will be to... Timing and musicality can only be polished for about an hour in their mini-studios backstage...
DWTS was #1 again! Nigel won't be happy...
Interesting sets of clothing they have one for their first dance... *hmmm*
Band is still teh svck...
So many rare red pleathers had to die.
Drink of the nightBeijing Bellinis
snack of the night
Shrimp with broccoli over brown rice and spring rolls
*googles*Ooh that drink sounds good. Thanks. *slurp*
Their Paso divided the judges panel, and also the two of them as well...
Chelsea tries to explain to Mark that his antics might give her a backlash... He kinda understands...
Dancing the Waltz to My Love
That was pretty. I think I've seen better waltzes but it was nice.
Love Chelsea's standing her ground. I'm sure she wanted to say, "Dude, don't drag me into your tantrums. I'm trying to enjoy this!"
LAST EDITED ON 05-09-11 AT 08:13 PM (EST)Scores: 10!-9-10! for a total of 29, highest score of the season to date. (First couple to receive 2 10s...)
After some judge's comments about the Instant Dance, we get Chelsea's draw: Get Busy.
Bravo Chelsea in telling Mark to take a chill pill. He did all that talking last season about having fun and not being so serious, I guess someone is eating their words about now.
He landed on top of the leaderboard with his first 10, tied with Ralph/Karina...
They decide to do some film analysis on Ralph/Karina's Fox Trot to help get some tips...
Dancing the Fox Trot to This Will Be
Easy Breezy, Nice job.
That was nice, but I don't think it was as smooth as Ralph's. Good job, though.
Scores: 9-9-10! for a total of 28
Their Instant Dance music is... Chantilly Lace
Last week they went from First to Worst... mainly because of a stiff Samba that bombed with the judges...
Chelsie's stressing out because she's feeling the pressure...
Dancing the Tango to If I Said
I couldn't stop staring at the ruffled butt bow, did not go with the red pleather dress.
I'm not sure what happened, but I felt something failed them. The lighting, the outfits, the song. I just wasn't wowed by it.
DanceCenter returns tomorrow!Tomorrow night's 8 show will have the greatest Results Shows Dances ever performed... ???
Scores: 9-9-9 for a total of 27
Their Instant Dance music is... Tequila!
Seems the judges are very, very generous tonight.
Wonderful dance Romeo/Chelsie! Should have gotten a 10 too, seeing how you did just as good as Kirstie/Maksim. IMO better!
They started out strong in the first couple of weeks, and returned to the top of the list...
However... Ralph suffered a Baker's Cyst rupture, which fortunately wasn't a major problem... Until on Saturday, it REALLY flared up! Because of this, their practice time was significantly less this week...
Dancing the Viennese Waltz to Maybe I, Maybe You
Not sure I like evil Ralph.I didn't realize that someone with long sleeves and a high necked dress could seem to be almost nekkid.
Ralph had his "Prince/Zoolander" on. The lack of rehearsal showed, but pretty.
You couldn't really tell he was injured in that dance... but now he's limping afterward...
Scores: 8-8-9 for a total of 25
Their Instant Dance Music is... Stuck In the Middle
Awww.... One of the teams I was pulling for to make it to the finals. Hoping Ralph/Karina are not voted off tomorrow night.
Last week they hit the bottom of the leaderboard when Kirstie went out of sync...
During rehearsal, Kirstie took a couple of crashes and burns... which might be because she isn't eating enough at the moment... She's dieting too strictly...
Dancing the Argentine Tango to traditional Argentine Tango music...
Remember, lifts are allowed in the context of the dance... as Maks has done so twice already!
Nice job. Liked that they did lifts. Had a really good energy to the dance.
Loved it! Loved it!
Okay, it looks like it's the best of the musical acts from Results Nights...Scores: 9-9-10! for a total of 28 (her first 10 of the season!)
Their Instant Dance music is... Cobrastyle... WTF?
Are these judges for real! Kirstie get a 10! The dance was worth no more than 9's Yes, they really want her in the finals. she is this season's ringer!
*sobs quietly in the corner*
LAST EDITED ON 05-09-11 AT 09:10 PM (EST)Chelsea's having difficulty because there isn't lyrics to help her memorize her moves...
Mark decides to call in Kyle Massey, who did the best Instant Dance last season for inspiration...
Dancing the Salsa to Get Busy
Audio glitch: Before the intro was done, the music started up...
Tom mentions the jumped cue.It was fun, seemed a little repetitive, but a good job.
Scores: 8-9-9 for a total of 26 for the dance, 55 for the night...
I noticed the disconnect from the music and the dance, but I chalked it up to the miscue at the start. Then my neighbor pointed out that they should have compensated earlier on. If the music stopped mid-dance, they should have been able to kept the beat.
Kym's worried since she didn't have to do an Instant Dance last year (was first out with The Hoff...) and they're both struggling in practice...
Dancing the Jive to Chantilly Lace
They looked like they had fun.
Well done!
Scores: 9-9-8 for a total of 26 for the dance, 54 for the night...Crowd doesn't like the scores...
Chelsie takes Romeo to a Salsa club to try to help him understand the dance... and to have him get used to dancing to any song...
Dancing the Salsa to Tequila
Oh, honey, no.
Had a nice vibe to it.
I was begging for one of them to do the Pee-Wee Herman move... but no luck... *snicker*
Scores: 8-9-8 for a total of 25 for the dance, 52 for the night...
Because of the injury causing a lack of practice time, they really had no time to even think of choreography for their Instant Dance... so it'll be truly an Instant Dance for tehm...
Dancing the Cha Cha Cha to Stuck in the Middle
For the amount of time they had, good job.
Nice standing O from the judges.
Scores: 7-7-7 for a total of 21 for the dance, 46 for the night... (Dead Freaking Last...)
Dancing the Salsa to Cobrastyle
Couldn't get past the music.Bruno got bleeped.
LAST EDITED ON 05-09-11 AT 09:57 PM (EST)Glad I know the name of this song now. Nicely done considering Maks' track record.
Sad that It may come down to Kirstie/Maks and Kirina/Ralph. That is so wrong.
Bruno got hit with the Delay Button again... and it caused gigglefits...
Scores: 8-9-8 for a total of 25 for the dance, 53 for the night...
My how a season can change a person's attitude about the instant dance.
Chelsea/Mark 55
Hines/Kym 54
Kirstie/Maksim 53
Romeo/Chelsie 52
Ralph/Karina 46
Excellent job!
