Atten-HUT!Tonight, in honor of Patriot's Day, all of the songs will be about America! Trainwreck potential may be at an all-time high tonight...
Also, I think war has been declared between two of the Stars' factions: Steeler Nation (Hines Ward) and the WWE Universe (Chris Jericho) At the very least, rumblings are starting to be heard in Twitter...

"BIG Intro!"
Posted by vince3 on 04-18-11 at 08:03 PM
Couple of Stars and Stipes outfits, couple of military uniforms, and a Cowboy?Band still stinks....
Sometime tonight is the 1000th competitive dance.
"RE: BIG Intro!"
Posted by Snidget on 04-18-11 at 08:05 PM
More stars and stripes in the background than a political convention full of peeps wrapped in the flag.So anyone going to be declared a traitor tonight? Star, Pro, or Band?
"RE: BIG Intro!"
Posted by vince3 on 04-18-11 at 08:07 PM
Almost guaranteed to be the Band for murdering many songs about America...
"Ralph/Karina"
Posted by vince3 on 04-18-11 at 08:06 PM
With no clear leader, they've really gotta concentrate... and to help Ralph's hips, Karina has him doing a hula hoop for a while...Dancing the Samba to Sweet Home Alabama *gigglefit*
As Karina was helped down from the stage, she leaped up... will that be called a lift?
"RE: Ralph/Karina"
Posted by Snidget on 04-18-11 at 08:08 PM
Alabama Samba...*twitch*They went for the samba roll things which was nice to see. I liked it, but it was kind of jarring overall.
"RE: Ralph/Karina"
Posted by Snidget on 04-18-11 at 08:09 PM
Bruno and Ralph need to get a room so Ralph can give Bruno the sex he wants from him?
"RE: Ralph/Karina"
Posted by vince3 on 04-18-11 at 08:10 PM
I think there was a bit of Texas Two-Step that got put in there at the end...Not enough Latin is Bruno's complaint. Not enough hip action for Len, and Carrie Ann seemed to have liked it...
Only 90 minutes tonight...
Scores: 8-7-7 for a total of 22.
"RE: Ralph/Karina"
Posted by Loree on 04-18-11 at 09:22 PM
I thought that was Ralph's worst dance and Carrie Ann was generous with that 8. He just seemed really awkward and uncomfortable.
"RE: Ralph/Karina"
Posted by JessicaRN on 04-18-11 at 11:54 PM
It was uncomfortable and the way the jeans fit him didn't help.
Impressed that he kept that hat on though.
"Chris/Cheryl"
Posted by vince3 on 04-18-11 at 08:17 PM
Len claimed he was conquered by the music while both Carrie Ann and Len liked it.... Chris's message back: *raspberry*Chris tries to imitate Len, but it turned out to be more like Ozzy Osbourne...
Dancing the Viennese Waltz to America The Beautiful
He wants at least an 8 from Len...
"RE: Chris/Cheryl"
Posted by Snidget on 04-18-11 at 08:21 PM
The forcing a 3/4 beat into that song really was again very jarring for me.Other than I may need to mute the music for the rest of the evening it seemed to be a good job.
"RE: Chris/Cheryl"
Posted by vince3 on 04-18-11 at 08:26 PM
Can we call the treason on the Band as of now? Yikes that version was scary...
Len zings Cheryl about showing off her 'Rocky Mountains'...
Scores: 9-8-9 for a total of 26, his best score so far.
"RE: Chris/Cheryl"
Posted by Snidget on 04-18-11 at 08:32 PM
The get maybe 8 bars then the mute button is being used. I just can't take much more.
"RE: Chris/Cheryl"
Posted by zookeepertx on 04-18-11 at 09:51 PM
O.M.G!!! I honestly think it would literally KILL that woman to just SING the freaking song without all the runs, screaming, etc, wouldn't it? It was unrecognizable! Of course, that may be a good thing, considering her screeching, though. As for the dance, it was hard to pay attention to it with my ears bleeding like that, but I didn't like it as much as last week's Paso.
"RE: Chris/Cheryl"
Posted by qwertypie on 04-18-11 at 11:58 PM
You have just the right amount of snark
Welcome!
"RE: Chris/Cheryl"
Posted by Loree on 04-18-11 at 09:28 PM
I think Chris did pretty good. But that last move looked strange the way he was trotting in a circle.
"Petra/Dmitry"
Posted by vince3 on 04-18-11 at 08:29 PM
They never thought they were gonna make it this far...Dancing the Quickstep to Viva Las Vegas... and it's a soul killing version...
Elvis's grave will have a few loose rocks tonight as the coffin spins... *shudder*
"RE: Petra/Dmitry"
Posted by Snidget on 04-18-11 at 08:30 PM
So much better with the mute button. She seemed just a bit stiff and maybe just a bit behind during the middle, but she relaxed at the end and that bit was good.
"RE: Petra/Dmitry"
Posted by vince3 on 04-18-11 at 08:36 PM
There was a bit of footwork problems, but Bruno seemed to appreciate the dance the most...Scores: 7-7-8 for a total of 22.
"RE: Petra/Dmitry"
Posted by Snidget on 04-18-11 at 08:39 PM
Does Petra have a foramen in her sternum, and should I be able to notice that oval hole in the bone when she breathes?
"RE: Petra/Dmitry"
Posted by Loree on 04-18-11 at 09:33 PM
I think she would have done better if her choreo had not been so complicated.
"Romeo/Chelsie"
Posted by vince3 on 04-18-11 at 08:39 PM
Toby Keith will be tomorrow night's musical guest...Romeo's passed his dad's mark for being on the show, and got a 23 to boot!
He's gonna try to put some Swagger into the Fox Trot...
Dancing the Fox Trot to New York, New York...
A lot of celebrity cemeteries will have spinning grave disturbances tonight, won't they?
"RE: Romeo/Chelsie"
Posted by Snidget on 04-18-11 at 08:40 PM
Well the band got to be off mute. But I was trying to find a mute for the visual part.
That was not very good, certainly no swagger.
"RE: Romeo/Chelsie"
Posted by vince3 on 04-18-11 at 08:47 PM
He dedicated this dance to a friend of his that was just diagnosed with cancer...Scores: 9-8-9 for a total of 26, his highest score to date, and tied for the lead!
"RE: Romeo/Chelsie"
Posted by Snidget on 04-18-11 at 08:54 PM
I don't think they watched the same performance I did. Or they know the vote totals and they want to make sure he stays compared to someone else.
"RE: Romeo/Chelsie"
Posted by Loree on 04-18-11 at 09:37 PM
I did not see anything that was 9-worthy in that dance. The judges must want to keep him around.
"RE: Romeo/Chelsie"
Posted by Sagebrush Dan on 04-19-11 at 01:24 AM
It was meh for me, too.
"RE: Romeo/Chelsie"
Posted by millie on 04-19-11 at 05:59 AM
Wonderful dance from Romeo and Chelsie! The young man has some swagger! should have been all 9's
"Hines/Kym"
Posted by vince3 on 04-18-11 at 08:49 PM
LAST EDITED ON 04-19-11 AT 11:54 AM (EST)Because Ralph did so well with his Rhumba, Hines is gonna try to channel his inner Ralph... and it's bruising in practice: couple of drops, headbutt, rib punches... but they might just get it together?
Dancing the Rhumba to Proud To Be An American
"RE: Hines/Kym"
Posted by Snidget on 04-18-11 at 08:52 PM
Very nice, had to mute the music, but nice job.
"RE: Hines/Kym"
Posted by vince3 on 04-18-11 at 08:59 PM
High praise from the judges, it seems...
Scores: 9-9-9 for a total of 27, his highest score of the season, I believe that's also the highest score period for the season... and obviously the outright leader for now!
"RE: Hines/Kym"
Posted by Loree on 04-18-11 at 09:50 PM
For some reason I am not as impressed with Hines as everyone else is.

OW! OW! OW! One of my favorite songs - slaughtered, right there in front of us! Oh, the humanities!Excuse me while I go bleach my ears out...
"Kirstie/Maksim"
Posted by vince3 on 04-18-11 at 09:02 PM
After falling down the week previously, she lost her shoe last week...To help out, Kirstie calls in a Dance Doctor... one of her former co-stars: John Travolta!!! Hopefully the bad juju's gone... (This was in her house, not the studios...)

I want to be the one who fitted those pants! How low can you go....I do love a defined man-V.
"RE: Kirstie/Maksim"

No incidents apparently... Maks going shirtless was Kirstie's idea apparently...Scores: 8-7-8 for a total of 23.
"RE: Kirstie/Maksim"
Posted by millie on 04-18-11 at 09:51 PM
So.....hmmmm....The judges score was to nice with this pair tonight! I guess you get a little extra for taking off your shirt...Hint for next week Dmitry!
"RE: Kirstie/Maksim"
Posted by Sagebrush Dan on 04-19-11 at 11:01 AM
They danced on Oprah last week; he did the whole dance and the follow-up interview shirtless. I don't think anyone saw Oprah or Kirstie. Even Oprah was having a hard time putting two words together.
"RE: Kirstie/Maksim"
Posted by Loree on 04-18-11 at 09:51 PM
OMG! My eyes did not leave Maks. Was Kirstie on the dance floor?

LAST EDITED ON 04-18-11 AT 10:01 PM (EST)My thoughts exactly!!!
"RE: Kirstie/Maksim"
Posted by JessicaRN on 04-19-11 at 00:02 AM
Maks ...Wow!Kirstie's outifit was not very flattering. I'm not sure how they danced to tell you the truth.
(He did look kind of like a Chippendale dancer though, not that I'm complaining.)
"RE: Kirstie/Maksim"
Posted by CTgirl on 04-19-11 at 03:37 PM
Kristie's outfit was pretty horrible but at least you can tell she's losing weight from all the dancing.
"RE: Kirstie/Maksim"
Posted by Sagebrush Dan on 04-19-11 at 00:12 AM
Loved Max's outfit but that was the worst version of American Woman ever! Don't that get it that the song is a protest against American foreign policy and practices? Gack!Well, Max made up for it, though.
"Kendra/Louis"
Posted by vince3 on 04-18-11 at 09:09 PM
LAST EDITED ON 04-18-11 AT 09:11 PM (EST)Kendra took it personally that Carrie Ann didn't think it was elegant enough... However Louis tries to explain it to her, and she's gonna take a fresh start...
Dancing the Fox Trot to Yankee Doodle...
and it's the 1000th competitive dance! *streamer storm!* *cleanup on the dance floor!*
"RE: Kendra/Louis"
Posted by Snidget on 04-18-11 at 09:15 PM
Cute, but took a bit too long to get into actual foxtroting for me.I sound like Len, don't I.?
"RE: Kendra/Louis"
Posted by vince3 on 04-18-11 at 09:17 PM
Scores: 8-7-7 for a total of 22... which this week is near the bottom of the leaderboard...
"RE: Kendra/Louis"
Posted by Loree on 04-18-11 at 10:00 PM
I still hope she goes home this week.
"RE: Kendra/Louis"
Posted by JessicaRN on 04-19-11 at 00:05 AM
I actually have always thought she had a cute personality, but she rubbed me the wrong way when she seemed to think that she is the first person to be learning how to dance and the judges didn't understand.I've also been surprised that she has no rhythm.
"RE: Kendra/Louis"
Posted by millie on 04-19-11 at 06:12 AM
liked Kendra and Louis dance! She looked like she was having fun and she improved from last week. Didn't vote for her, but I hope she stays. She's not fake, like some on this show, she keeps it real and is hated for it!
"Chelsea/Mark"
Posted by vince3 on 04-18-11 at 09:24 PM
Last week's leaders, who also had to sweat out the Red Light of Doom, get the Pimp Spot...Ohcrap... Miley Cyrus's Party in the USA is the song... Chelsea wants to break the rules, and Mark surprisingly wants to play it straight...
Dancing the Samba to Party in the USA

Pretty good, but something about how the pants fit her hips was just wrong.

"RE: Chelsea/Mark"

I'm not a Mark/Derek/Juliana fan.
That being said, I do think it should be illegal for the Russian pro male dancers to wear shirts.
"RE: Chelsea/Mark"
Posted by JessicaRN on 04-19-11 at 11:14 AM
I really meant that I don't like Mark. In fact, he really annoys me, which is why I could see him doing what Maks.

"RE: Chelsea/Mark"
Posted by Nume on 04-19-11 at 06:55 PM
I actually really liked that one. It seemed like pretty much nonstop hip action the entire dance, which is something I tend to enjoy
. I also am not nearly as much of a mark hater as most on this board heh. Overall this is probably my favorite pair atm, though I still do like Ralph and Chris also.
