The purpose of this thread is to show you the important information about our finalists going into Monday's Finale Performance. There will be a sub-heading for each couple.

Important: Please don't bash the couples in this thread. There already is a Bristol Bashing thread, and we can easily create ones for Jennifer and/or Kyle (or their partners, for that matter, easily enough.)

Bristol Palin, single mother of one, teen abstinence spokeswoman, daughter of Sarah Palin, the former governor of Alaska.

Mark Ballas, 2-time DWTS Champion (Kristi Yamaguchi and Shawn Johnson) No pro has yet to win 3 DWTS Championships, and if he does win, it would also be the 7th win by the 'Triplets', (Ballas and the Hough siblings all of which currently hold 2 each)

This couple has been near or at the bottom of the leaderboard for the majority of the season. They've faced the Red Light of DOOM numerous times, especially in the past few weeks, only to survive and see more surprising exits, including Brandy's this past week.

Jennifer Grey, daughter of Joel Grey who is a famous Broadway choreographer. Best known for the film Dirty Dancing with Patrick Swayze. Just prior to the debut of Dirty Dancing, however, she was in a car accident with then boyfriend Matthew Broderick. The accident left her neck (and body) extremely vulnerable, and to even participate on the show, she needed steel plating in her neck/spine... Oldest of the three Stars at 50.

Derek Hough, 2-time and defending DWTS Champion (Brooke Burke and Nicole Scherwger (sp?) of the Pussycat Dolls) Like Mark, a win by him would give the Triplets their 7th Championship, and give himself the outright Pro lead...

Jennifer has suffered from aches and pains all season long, but has withstood that (and numerous nervous breakdowns...) to be near or at the top of the leaderboard most of the season. They have the only perfect scores of our Finalists, and they've done it in their last 3 dances in a row.

Finale Prediction: Just as I was certain that Florence would get the Brady Bunch theme on TV Theme Week (and to a lesser extent, Audrina would get The Hill's theme, as well...)... I have a strong feeling about this: Their Freestyle song will be (I've Had) The Time of My Life, the iconic song from Dirty Dancing.

If memory serves me correctly, I think Jennifer was criticized when Dirty Dancing came out for not being able to dance that well (the same was leveled at Patrick Swayze).

She's aging extremely well, and looks better now than she did then (plastic surgery can do only so much--see Joan van Ark. gah!).

I believe her dancing grace is a natural talent, rather than anything she could have learned through the years.

I don't know if her emotional outbursts and physical complaints are emphasized due to editing or what.

The only disappointments I will feel if she wins are 1) not surprising, and 2) Derek Hough wins too (okay, that's the only bashing. I've been good.).

Nicole's last name is Scherzinger. I have trouble remembering it too. Her boyfriend, last I knew, is the English Formula 1 racer Lewis Hamilton.

I wasn't that far off with my prediction for their song choice...

"Do You Love Me" is also from Dirty Dancing... Apparently they wanted to save Time of My Life to only be for Jennifer/Patrick, which is a nice nod.

Kyle Massey, co-star of That's So Raven, then starred in the spin-off Corey In The House, both of which were on Disney Channel. Prior to this he had little dance experience...

Lacey Schwimmer, originally from So You Think You Can Dance. This is her 4th pro season on DWTS, her 2nd Finale night appearance (Lance Bass, 3rd in season 7)

This couple has been from extreme of the leaderboard to the other. Never the outright leader, but I don't think they ever were the worst on the leaderboard either... They seem to be on the upswing lately, though, getting a pair of 29s last week. They're the studio crowd's favorite, and possibly the board's favorite... despite the Lacey hate in some places...

Kyle is the underdog I've been rooting for.

I'm glad Lacey has proven to have more staying power and versatility than her brother (who is now doing tribal casino tours with his father). I'm still deciding if I like her as a blonde.

Blonde or otherwise, I wouldn't kick her out of bed for eating crackers.
