It's story time again, folks. Who knows what drama will be brought this week...?
Story night and so far no song spoilers?Which couple got the zombie theme this season?
Drink of the nightCosmopolitans
snack of the night
grilled swordfish, roasted veggie medley lots of lemon and herbs on both
I just checked TMZ, and I can't find any spoilers for this week... Which means it's back to normal rules for the songs: If they don't tell me what the song title is in the pre-dance vignette, then I'm left to figure it out for myself.... and I'm nowhere near perfect getting the titles myself... and then you have to consider the source of the music...
that fringe is loud.Looks like losing an overcoat is a common story theme.

Props are encouraged this week? Yikes!
We also get a Pros demonstration dance telling a story to "You're too good to be true" then "Three Times a Lady" and finally "Let's Get It Started"
Dmitri!!!Awful music, though.
She will be a teacher, and he will be her unruly student....He will have a crush on her... and she will give him heck for it... They're gonna maybe try the Samba Roll...
Dancing the Samba to I'm So In Love With You?
That was very smooth, great choreography, I hate to admit.
LAST EDITED ON 10-04-10 AT 08:14 PM (EST)Erasure: A Little Respect
http://www.lyricsfreak.com/e/erasure/a+little+respect_20050823.htmlThat was nice and the story didn't detract from the dance.
Scores: 8-8-8 for another 24.
Didn't like Jennifer's fringed pants. And Derek still annoys me.
This week's song/dance combo brings back such memories for Florence, since she played in the Sound of Music musical and was visited by the real Maria Von Trapp at a show in Chicago, and this also reminds her about her husband that she lost 8 years ago...Dancing the Waltz to Edelweiss
Lovely, and sweet. Don't know how much of the voters are going to get it, though.
Very slow and Florence seemed to actually stop at times.
Scores: 7-6-7 for a total of 20.
A bit simple, but a nice dance with a nice story.
Initial plans is for Anna to be the depressed character of the two...Anna figures that he needs to be more delicate with his movements... so he has an afternoon tea party with her two girls...
Dancing the Fox Trot to Bad Day
Seemed a bit awkward at times to me.
Well, he gave it a good go, but he's right, a bit lumbering in parts.
Scores: 8-8-7 for a total of 23 and one point short of the lead... but his highest score yet...
I thought he did well but was a bit flat footed at times.
Margaret was on tour this past week, so her rehersal time was a bit limited...I hope Maroonclown isn't watching this...
Dancing the Samba to Copacabana
I thought that might be her song when I first saw her outfit.Started well, but did she completely lose the steps in that section near the end.
I had such hopes, but oh my heavens. She looks great though.
I think that was a bit of a mess. She was off time and running to catch up and Louis was steering her around at times.
They stuck to the 'they fell in love' part to the song... and they got streamer cannoned at the end of the dance...Cleanup on the Dance Floor!
Scores: 6-6-6 for a total of 18
Their story is Tony being a Marine coming home to dance with his wife... from the grave...Dancing the Waltz to Let It Be Me
That was well done.
Gotta say, I'm crushing on Tony D this season. He looks great! Oh yeah, that girl was OK.
Scores: 8-9-9 for a total of 26...They show some highlights about Tony's waxing from last week... Entertainment Tonight said that they would have a lot more on that tomorrow...
Derek and Jennifer just lost their 1st place. That was well done.
He will be playing a homeless person trying to get her attention for something... and she's worried about the actress part...Doesn't help that her 1-yr old is being rowdy and she has speeches to give...
Dancing the Fox Trot to Just the Way You Are...
Didn't go full on zombie, but was headed in that direction.
Her rises and falls were nice, but there was nothing behind it.
Scores: 6-6-7 for a total of 19.
Why does Mark always dress her in ugly dresses? At least he didn't put gloves on her this week.
Stockholm Syndrome.*snort*
Brandy brings Maks a gift... the gift of silence... so she tapes her mouth shut.Their story will be on similar lines from The Bodyguard
Dancing the Samba to Say You Want Me
LAST EDITED ON 10-04-10 AT 09:18 PM (EST)Alicia Keys: Put It In A Love Song?
http://www.directlyrics.com/alicia-keys-put-it-in-a-love-song-lyrics.htmlNice dance, didn't get the story, but I liked the dancing. Could have been a bit more hip action.
That was fun but too many liberties. But that was good.
Scores: 8-8-8 for a total of 24
I really liked that. And why is Len now judging what they do in rehearsal? He didn't think Maks was acting like a bodyguard in rehearsal when he was smacking Brandy on the butt.
I for one am glad to see SOMEBODY call Max out for acting like such a horse's a$$. He's still the bad boy of the ballroom.
Technique is something they have to work on this week...They didn't like the first song that they got (from the Eagles) and I don't think either one knew about either them or the Beatles... *head desk*
Dancing the Waltz to
Take It To The LimitFalling In Love in a Coffee Shop
Cute, very cute.
LAST EDITED ON 10-04-10 AT 09:29 PM (EST)*shakes head*
Well glad they got music they can relate to *twitch*
He dances so much better than I ever thought he would.
Coffee Shop
http://www.sweetslyrics.com/535194.Landon%20Pigg%20-%20Coffee%20Shop.html
Scores: 8-7-8 for a total of 23
I agree with Len. I don't think his footwork has improved since week 1.
The storyline involves a time machine... ho boy.Dancing the Fox Trot to Boom Boom Pow...
This has clusterfvck written all over it, doesn't it?
It has something written all over it, and none of it sounds good.
Better than I expected, but that music just didn't go with the foxtrot moves.
You can't make this stuff up. Yikes!
Michael Bolton will replace the ill Susan Boyle as a musical guest tomorrow night...Scores: 7-6-7 for a total of 20
So is he going to be all forgiveness or use this as another demand for an apology and reprimand?
I wouldn't be surprised if an apology was part of the deal. Having the jerk on is good for ratings.
That was horrible. It was so overscored it was ridiculous.
Dancing the Samba to Whine Up
Great way to end the show. Did a really good job.
Well, can't believe I'm saying this: 3 buttons were enough. Leave a little something to the imagination. Not enough hip shaking for me.
*breathes sigh of relief for next week*Next week's theme will have the band unplugged for acoustic dancing in the round...
Scores: 8-8-8
I thought he shook his hips well. But otherwise not alot of dancing. He was just walking at times. And he misbuttoned his shirt after.
been a great time, as always.
Our local(Boston) ABC channel chose to show Monday Night Football, so DWTS fell by the wayside tonight. Thanks to all of you for giving me some idea of how the performances went.
I usually have to endure that at least once a season, too... I guess it's a price for having a decent football team.
