Tonight we get to see 4 more dances unleashed on us...... *sigh*Bolero, Charleston, Country Two-Step, and Lambada will be done by the Stars tonight, they hope.......
Last week, Debi's bubble burst, and Tom had to leave due to two fractured feet.......4 more dances to be unleashed..... (didn't I say that above?)
LIVE, this is DWTS!
Edyta may be gone but looks like they raided her costume closet. Why is Louis made up to look way too much like his partner Kelly?
*points down*
I thought "Phantom of the Opera" with out the real mask.
Chuck, Mark, Louie are doing Two-StepKelly, Melissa, and Donnie are doing Charleston
Since the other dances are Latin..... *shrug*
Drink of the nightPinot Grigio
snack of the night
lamb saag, vegetarian biryani and fish pakora with my favorites garlic naan and pappadam with raita
Sounds really good.
Last week they did the Salsa from Zombie Town.......Anna's hoping that Chuck's previous job experience in a country bar will help him out......
This week lifts are allowed as long as they are in the context of that particular dance
Dancing Country Two-Step to "Boot Scoot Boogie"
The lifts were good, he is big and strong, but there wasn't as much dancing in between that was that good.
That was more of a "1 1/2 step" than a "2 step" but I love me some Chuck!
Chuck's dancing skills aren't too great, but he makes it looks like he should be doing the dance...... this time....Scores: 6~5~6 for a total of 17
Melissa showed up to Samba, but couldn't commit to the party..... they said that her upper half was divorced from the rest of her body......Mark's slightly worried because this will be the first time that he'll be doing the Charleston......
So, he went to a 20's era replica club to get her into the mood........
Dancing the Charleston (in black and white old-time movie style, to start....) to the appropriate Charleston music..... (I hope someone knows what it's really called....)
was there like 3.5 seconds of partnering, all the rest was side by side.
LAST EDITED ON 10-12-09 AT 08:24 PM (EST)Very cute!
not worth a 10, but cute.
I love Mark's Groucho, and a fantastic score! She's so cute, I'm very happy for her.
Glowing reviews from the judges!Shakira will be performing two songs tomorrow......
Scores: 9~9~10! for a total of 28 (her first 10 of the season, first score above 20)
*blink*Did someone give Bruno some sippy sippy from the speak easy. That? got a 10?
It was decent but I think an 8 was more than fair and a 9 was pushing it.
They must be trying to keep her around over someone else that's getting too many votes.
Melissa's scores were ridiculous. A 10? At times she stopped to wait to see what her next move was. That was not a 10.
Bruno called her a sexy beast after her Rhumba.....This week they're doing the Bolero, and Alec's going to try to push her because of her high scores last week.......... However, she's stiffening up like she always does when she starts doing a new dance..... The problem is, if he makes it too difficult for her, she might break..........
Dancing the Bolero to "Better In Time"?
Is this the Bolero or Ballet?
Again I'd like more actual partnering and doing some basic steps, but it was a lot of pretty poses. Just seemed to lack some emotion for me.
That was difficult, but not smooth at all. There were some really good moves choreographed but didn't translate.
Sabrina Bryan will be Paso Doble-ing to "Eye of the Tiger" with a male partner from this season in the Design-A-Dance misadventure...... and the viewer costume design contest is back, as well......Scores: 8~8~8 for a total of 24
LAST EDITED ON 10-12-09 AT 08:33 PM (EST)Guess that means it'll be Mark Ballas for the pro?
After getting disappointing scores last week, Michael Irvin comforted him after they got backstage.......Aaron's nervous about doing the Lambada, and it's showing.....
They want to have a gymnastic start to the dance, and he went to a coach to help him out..... but he wasn't completing the trick consistently........ this could be ugly if he misses.
That was kind of awkward to me. Just kind of "babysitter in the basement" kind of icky.
I liked this a lot more than the judges seemed to.
Dancing the Lambada to "Doctor Beat"?Len: The Lambada is a dance that I want to see Raunchy!
Bruno gives foreplay lessons..... Carrie Ann translates: You have to Chill Out...... he's going too big, too fast I think is what they're saying....
Scores: 6~6~6 for a near riot-inducing 18......
Bruno gives foreplay lessons.........and I thought the dance was icky!
He does tend to be a bit frantic as a dancer rather than relaxing into the moves. You wanna make people want to get close to you, not be a bit afraid it'd be like dancing with a weed whacker.
When you say Lambada, I think Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing. That was not Dirty Dancing. Not smooth at all. That being said, I don't think it deserved 6s.
Last week the judges said that they lacked chemistry.... She plans to have more fun than worrying about the little things.....Once Mark's 3 kiddoes joined him in the dance studio, Lacey saw a more fun side of Mark show up......
Dancing the Country Two-Step to "Got Nothin' Better To Do"?
LAST EDITED ON 10-12-09 AT 08:54 PM (EST)I loved it, even though it wasn't perfect. He really enjoyed himself. Of course, the jeans deserve a 10!
Nope, the jeans were not tight enough

Boot Scootin with Snidget
Fun but like most of the dances tonight I'd like to see some work in hold. At least the spinning was good and showed some partnering work.
LAST EDITED ON 10-12-09 AT 08:52 PM (EST)Scores: 8~7~7 for a total of 22
Samantha just spilled something: They're gonna do a Group Dance next week: The Hustle! *screams in terror*
I thought it was better that Natalie and Alec.
http://community.realitytvworld.com/boards/DCForumID6/34711.shtml#4
and now there's lamb saag all.over.screen.high -larous!
The band is doing "themed" intros back into the show...... the music matches the dance that is upcoming....Kelly showed improvement in her Salsa, and confidence is her issues.....
Kelly revealed that she auditioned and got the lead for Chicago on Broadway, but because of her then lack of dancing skills, she had to be given a different role.......
Dancing the Charleston to "Cabaret"
Well that explains Louie's makeup. That was FAB! Great costuming.
Very fun and they better get some good scores or I'm going to grab a cane out of the air an beat the judges about the head and neck.
They seemed to love the Broadway themed Cabaret.....Scores: 8~7~8 for a total of 23
Melissa got 9's and 10's and this got 7's and 8's????*grabs cane*
*whackwhackwhackwhack*
Joanna's desperate for a 10, and they were willing to try many different things in practice to try to work for it........ especially since Mya and Aaron are also doing the Lambada.....ABC's encouraging people to help their community so they volunteered at a animal shelter.
Dancing the Lambada to traditional Lamada music, it sounds like....
Len's campaigning for the encore.I think they must have blown the spray tan budget for the season tonight.
That was fun.
Len has proclaimed that he wants this for the Encore Dance..... because Joanna snuck up behind Len and kissed him at the start.....I think the entire studio needs hosed off after that one......
Scores: 9~8~9 for a total of 26
Don't quite know what to say. All about Derek - uh, more than usual.
After a passionate, but lacking strength Rhumba..... Donny snapped and kissed Bruno.... Kym translates what that "Airy Fariy arms" meant that Bruno mentioned......Donny figures that the Charleston is right in his wheelhouse, but he's trying to be too perfect..... She wants him to be free!
Dancing the Charleston to "Put A Lid On It"?
Gotta admit, that was very well done. Excellent.
I didn't see the mess up.They did seem to have a whole lot of fun.
Apparently it was from Hello, Dolly?Scores: 8~8~8 for a total of 24
Last week's Samba didnt' work out, and they ended up in the Bottom Two......Anna calls in help for the Bolero..... Tony!
He's got to feel the dance...... or else he's toast....
Dancing the Bolero to...... *shrug*
Len is putting away the 4 paddle.I do agree he really didn't do that much dancing, mostly move a few feet, hold still while she slithers, then move a few more feet.
Scores: 5~6~5 for a total of 16, and a glitch in the announcer saying the judges names.........
I recognize the song from Moulin Rougue (sp?). All this did was made me miss Tony.
Last week they had caused a judge fight when Len hated their dance......To get inspiration for the Country Two-Step, since neither know what they're doing, they visit Chelsie's partner from last year, Ty Murray! Ty's going to try to turn Louis into a cowboy..... and he's falling short....
Dancing the Country Two Step to "Sweet Home Alabama"
Another dance with a bit too much standing around and I'm not sure he was even walking between the standing around on time with the music.Too bad.
Ty Murray!!!!!
Until they started singing, I was worried that the song was gonna be the Kid Rock song that riffs off of Sweet Home Alabama.......Not enough, not enough, not enough........ they are in trouble.
Scores: 5~5~6 for an audience groaning total of 16
They're confused because Len's been crankypants the last couple of weeks......Dancing the Lambada to...... *shrug* I dunno
I think maybe this
J. Lo. Story of my Heart?? But I could be completely off.The song was weird enough it was distracting me from the dancing.
Definitely was sexy.
Scores: 10~8~10 for a total of 28 (The judges were kinda in a Charlie Angels-esque posing, too.....)
That was hot, but not perfect. Very nice. For once, I actually wonder what their working relationship is like outside the dance. Dmitry said she choreographed parts of this one. I can't imaging Maks letting Mel B choreograph part - and if he did, he wouldn't admit it.
They had so much oil and sparkles on them. I guess it was to make them look hot and sexy. But to me they looked greasy and distracting.
I'll Lambada with you anytime!
I was disappointed in the 2-steps.
The 2-step is not hard to do at all! And it can be done with lots of turns and very quickly.Chuck was nothing more than a prop for his partner to dance around.
As was Luis - walk and stop; walk & stop; repeat.Mark at least got a few steps in and some interesting turns.
I really blame the pros for not doing better choreography.
Too often it looks like the female pros want to show off their moves and just need a partner to hold their hand.
