Here we go again. Another hot Latin dance for Gilles to set the floor on fire, but the Ballroom dance this week is the Jive, which could make things interesting.........

If I didn't have pizza within eating range, I'd be all over that snack.....

Godiva Dark Chocolate Praline w/Pecans ice cream

"Ty and Chelsie"
Posted by vince3 on 04-13-09 at 07:06 PM
LAST EDITED ON 04-13-09 AT 07:09 PM (EST)

Last week's dance was a cross between "Domo Arigato Mr. Roboto" and the Tin Man (oil can!)

Chelsie brought in a mini trampoline and hula-hoop to try to loosen Ty's hips.....

Dancing the Jive to "Girls Gone Wild"?

I forget, are lifts allowed in the Jive?

"RE: Ty and Chelsie"
Posted by Snidget on 04-13-09 at 07:08 PM
Well I think she had a lot of fun.

"RE: Ty and Chelsie"

Don't care ...he makes me smile. That was a poor performance, but Ty will get all of my real votes!

Me lourve me some Ty.

Scores: 6~6~6 for a total of 18, oofa.

The dreaded number of the beast score.

"RE: Ty and Chelsie"
Posted by Loree on 04-13-09 at 07:13 PM
Ty always makes me smile. But that wasn't really much of a jive. It was more of a country line dance. I did enjoy watching them. But they could be in trouble tomorrow night.

"Shawn and Mark"
Posted by vince3 on 04-13-09 at 07:18 PM
Shawn's nervous because of the love needed to flow during the Rumba....... she's shy.... *aww* Plus she's got a case of the giggles.......

Mark decided to recreate Shawn's prom for her because she'll miss the prom for Finale week......

Dancing the Rumba to "We're Goin' Down"?

"RE: Shawn and Mark"
Posted by Snidget on 04-13-09 at 07:19 PM
Oh dear, Bruno thinks that was innocent. I was waiting for the to catch a predator guy to jump out.

"RE: Shawn and Mark"
Posted by jbug on 04-13-09 at 07:19 PM
Shawn is so cute.
But why or why did someone paste those 3" eyelashes on her?

"RE: Shawn and Mark"
Posted by whimsey on 04-13-09 at 07:19 PM
Cute, but just cute. Too virginal, but lovely none the less.

"RE: Shawn and Mark"

Scores: 8~9~9 for a total of 26

"RE: Shawn and Mark"
Posted by Loree on 04-13-09 at 07:21 PM
Shawn looks even younger than 17 to me. So that dance almost came off as too sexual for her at times. I was a little uncomfortable watching it.

"RE: Shawn and Mark"
Posted by whimsey on 04-13-09 at 07:26 PM
Agreed. Definitely looks younger that 17.

"RE: Shawn and Mark"
Posted by skye on 04-13-09 at 08:31 PM
I think the song was actually "Slow Dancing in a Burning Room" by John Mayer.

"Lawrence and Edyta"
Posted by vince3 on 04-13-09 at 07:29 PM
Avoided elimination last week in the Dance-off, has to try to step it up from what Len called his best dance ever in the Jive....

Lawrence is having issues...... Uhoh! Warren comes in to cheer him up!

Dancing the Jive to "Ain't That Peculiar?"?

"RE: Lawrence and Edyta"
Posted by Snidget on 04-13-09 at 07:30 PM
Isn't it suppose to be kinda bouncy? I didn't really see much bounciness.

Not sure if all those tricks/lifts will get them in trouble.

"RE: Lawrence and Edyta"
Posted by whimsey on 04-13-09 at 07:31 PM
Warren Sapp!?!?

pillows please

"RE: Lawrence and Edyta"
Posted by Loree on 04-13-09 at 07:35 PM
Better than last week for LT. I did think he was looking at his feet alot. And I don't like those fringed legging things that Edyta loves to wear.

Bruno gave them an 8?

"RE: Lawrence and Edyta"
Posted by Snidget on 04-13-09 at 07:41 PM
We need to take the fringy leg warmers away from Edyta.

"RE: Lawrence and Edyta"

What were the scores?

(I gotta stop channel surfing...)

"Melissa and Tony"
Posted by vince3 on 04-13-09 at 07:40 PM
Tony faux pauxed...... he told Melissa to imagine a 10 carat diamond on her hand..... she then replied that she looked at her empty hand that once had such a ring...... oops.

Dancing the Rumba to "If I Were a Boy"?

"RE: Melissa and Tony"
Posted by Snidget on 04-13-09 at 07:42 PM
That is a very odd song choice for something romantic.

Definitely a come back kind of dance.

"RE: Melissa and Tony"
Posted by whimsey on 04-13-09 at 07:42 PM
Too funny about the hand with no diamonds.

"RE: Melissa and Tony"

Scores: 9~9~9 for a total of 27

"RE: Melissa and Tony"
Posted by Loree on 04-13-09 at 07:45 PM
Much better for them than last week. But I always get distracted by her bedazzled tramp stamp.

"RE: Melissa and Tony"
Posted by whimsey on 04-13-09 at 07:47 PM
Isn't that a drinking game?

"RE: Melissa and Tony"
Posted by Snidget on 04-13-09 at 07:56 PM
You definitely want to finish bedazzling the tramp stamp BEFORE you start drinking.

"RE: Melissa and Tony"
Posted by Snidget on 04-13-09 at 07:48 PM
It is a bit distracting. I think it would almost be less noticeable if they just left it alone.

Of course wearing something that comes up to her waist rather than show off as much belly as possible apparently ain't an option.

Although it is nice to see one of the stars out doing Edyta in the skimpy department.

"Lil Kim and Derek"
Posted by vince3 on 04-13-09 at 07:50 PM
Lil Kim is having a problem getting into character for the Jive because it was before her time....... so Derek takes her to a 50s style drive in!

Dancing the Jive to Jailhouse Rock! (Kim the cop, Derek the Robber..... lol)

"RE: Lil Kim and Derek"
Posted by whimsey on 04-13-09 at 07:52 PM
She reminds me of Joey Fatone. Love the song choice. Fa.bo.lous.

"RE: Lil Kim and Derek"
Posted by Snidget on 04-13-09 at 07:52 PM
Kim as the prison guard.

Queen Latifa in da house.

That was fun. And she managed to avoid the blow up doll face!!!

"RE: Lil Kim and Derek"
Posted by Loree on 04-13-09 at 07:54 PM
Enjoyable. But a couple times it looked like she was running to catch up with Derek instead of dancing.

"RE: Lil Kim and Derek"
Posted by CTgirl on 04-13-09 at 10:57 PM
ITA, I think Derek showcased himself more than Lil Kim in that choreography. And I agreed with Len - there wasn't much jive to it. I think the judges are pumping her up more than she deserves because Gilles is so far ahead of everyone else talent wise. They're trying to create some competition.

"RE: Lil Kim and Derek"
Posted by vince3 on 04-13-09 at 07:59 PM
Bruno wanted to be arrested, and I think Kim coming to take kisses might've caused another wardrobe malfunction because after Carrie Ann also stood up, and tossed part of her jewelry somewhere, during Len's crankypants critique, Tom blocked Kim from the camera and talked to her, and then she adjusted while Tom covered for her........

Scores: 10!~8~10! for a total of 28 and the lead!

"Steve-O and Lacey"
Posted by vince3 on 04-13-09 at 08:03 PM
Steve-O is gonna try to dance the dance of love with someone that he treats more like a sister than something else......

Steve-O brought his dog, Boogie to a practice, and he loves Boogie......

Dancing the Rumba to *shrug* "Impossible to Find"?

"RE: Steve-O and Lacey"
Posted by Snidget on 04-13-09 at 08:04 PM
That was odd. A bit too much Steve standing there while Lacey was manic for my taste.

"RE: Steve-O and Lacey"
Posted by whimsey on 04-13-09 at 08:05 PM
Steve-O is definitely invested the competition. But my heavens.

"RE: Steve-O and Lacey"
Posted by Loree on 04-13-09 at 08:06 PM
Steve-O was rather clunky and flat footed. Lacey looked good though.

"RE: Steve-O and Lacey"
Posted by vince3 on 04-13-09 at 08:06 PM
Rascal Flatts and the cast of "West Side Story" tomorrow night.....

Scores: 7~4~5 for a total of 16, yowza.

"Gilles and Cheryl"
Posted by vince3 on 04-13-09 at 08:15 PM
Gilles can't be serious this week because the Jive is a fun dance, but he's going insane!

Cheryl gives him the day off, so Gilles takes Cheryl to a soccer field. He's hoping the footwork from there will help him out.....

Dancing the Jive to "Dance, Dance"?

"RE: Gilles and Cheryl"
Posted by Snidget on 04-13-09 at 08:17 PM
It was fast and both of them were fast, rather than one manic professional and one stationary star.

Didn't really like that as much as I usually do.

"RE: Gilles and Cheryl"
Posted by DebCapsFan on 04-13-09 at 08:25 PM
The slowed the song down a little which threw me off and it seemed like an odd choice to dance to.

I could follow you around all night and just say ditto to everything you've said about all the dancers.

I love watching Gilles and Cheryl dance. He is definitely one of my favorite dancers from all the seasons.

"Chuck and Julianne"
Posted by vince3 on 04-13-09 at 08:26 PM
Head.desk.

The cyute couple gets this week: The pimp spot, the more romantic dance, and some of the other top couples haven't scored too well......

Chuck doesn't want to screw this one up because lack of chemistry is not a good sign for the couple......

Julianne took Chuck to where they had their first date, the Santa Monica Pier...... *awww* *barf*

Dancing the Rumba to "She Will Be Loved"

"RE: Chuck and Julianne"

OMG. It was like peeping in their bedroom.

"RE: Chuck and Julianne"
Posted by Snidget on 04-13-09 at 08:29 PM
That outfit was a bit distracting. Is Julianne trying out for a VH1 dating show?

That was one of his better dances.

"RE: Chuck and Julianne"
Posted by whimsey on 04-13-09 at 08:29 PM
She looks like those cocktail napkins in ambitious "tittie bars". Costuming was just wrong.

But just don't like this couple.

"RE: Chuck and Julianne"
Posted by DebCapsFan on 04-13-09 at 08:34 PM
Yeah, I don't either...he puts her down all the time. And I'm sorry, but her sliding all over him just makes it look like she's sexing up a block of wood.

*cough* Just my opinion though.

"RE: Chuck and Julianne"
