"American Champion Ballroom Contest on PBS"

Not sure where else to post this. The tie-in with DWTS is that Tony Dobilani usually wins this thing. He won it last year. He hasn't been on it yet, but they haven't featured his specialty yet.

Anyway, it's on PBS for the next few weeks. Last night was "American Smooth", which is more of an approach to the dances rather than a particular dance. The AS versions of the Viennese Waltz were incredible.
The winners for the showdance did an AS version of the tango, which was a knockout. They dressed up as Chinese warriors and did it as a kung fu fighters with the music being nothing but Chinese drums hammering away. Absolutely amazing work. Brought the house down, too.

So folks, keep your eye out for what your local PBS station is up to. This is great stuff. We watch it every year.

Have any of you out there seen it?

SIGH - the only thing (other than the grainer picture, static and otherwise lousy reception) I regret about not having cable is that we don't get PBS. Keep me updated, Sugar
