Two dances this week.
Confusion with no bottom two.

Can they walk down the stairs in these costumes.
Jennie stole something from Edyta it looks like.

5 stars remained, done 8 dances and two weeks from the finales.

We will start with Jennie

They have the Jive and the Foxtrot.

Brought in help to show her she has what it take.

Richard Simons comes and cheers. *TWITCH*
Oh dear he has her crying, and not because of his outfit.

Dancing the Jive to: Marvin Gaye It Takes Two

She is in a green thing with very little coverage and lots of sequins.

She looks like she had fun out there.

Len. I've had a few emails saying I am over critical, we have the semi's next week and I want the best couples. I'm not sure if that jive was deserving. It was good, but not one of your best.

Bruno. Has to be so slick and precise, you were limp. It wasn't as sharp as it should have been.

Carrie Ann. I agree with Bruno and you have had a journey. Your back crumbles a little and not clean pump action.

OK- truth time
everyone who will change their vote over to Jennie because Richard Simmons is a fan, admit it now.

Just kidding. But really, a 90210 star LOVING some Richard Simmons??? That is just not NATURAL!!!

"RE: Jennie Garth and Derek"

I thought this was the weakest dance Jennie has done in weeks. She seemed hesitant at times and it looked like Derek was pumping her arm up and down or her arms would have dropped at times. I was surprised she didn't end up with 7s. But I guess the judges don't want to give anyone anything less than an 8 tonight.

"Cameron Mathison and Edyta"

got a phone call

"RE: Cameron Mathison and Edyta"
Posted by lynkfri13 on 11-12-07 at 08:35 PM
judges liked their waltz.

Len complained that Cameron wasn't wearing a tie, and buttoning up his shirt.

ON the other hand, Edyta's dress was very flowing, and must have contained more cloth than all her other costumes combined.

scores 9-9-9 = 27

paused during the call I'll try to catch up to live.

Cameron sees Kelly Monoco. and the fans. He is the only one without a 10.

Dancing the Viennese waltz to. The Harry Potter Theme.

She is in more clothes than I've ever seen her in.. Lots of pink layers.

Lets see if the Dursley's liked it.

Bruno. Gliding like a big gray albatross you were so light you tend to over do it and you didn't tonight good job.

Carrie Ann. You look so worried. I really loved it, it was very beautiful. You were very good in hold. Watch in between the holds.

Len. Getting on his nerve about the bare chest during ballroom. He buttons the top button. If that had been a boxing match it was getting on my nerves, natural rotation and a fleckle? and he liked it.

>Bruno. Gliding like a big gray
>albatross you were so light
>you tend to over do
>it and you didn't
>tonight good job.
>

I never thought of an albatross as particularly graceful?

Maybe I have my birds confused?

"RE: Cameron Mathison and Edyta"
Posted by Snidget on 11-12-07 at 09:03 PM
floating on the breeze they are graceful. Taking off and landing, not so much.

"RE: Cameron Mathison and Edyta-Seriously"

Why can't he button up just ONCE for the waltz?? I mean, he looked amazing in that tux, but with the buttons open? Totally Chip & Dale, as Tom said. It was tacky, and in MY mind, not so sexy.
It was like Edyta was finally putting some clothes on, so he had to overdo and take some off! I was disappointed, because I thought that dance was absolutely beautiful! They did an amazing job, and it was very romantic. Then, the chest? Oh, come on, Cameron, not EVERYONE is in love with your body!!

Dad taught her the show must go on.

Rumba and the Jive.

Slow sexy hip movements and passionate romantic moves. She says that ain't going to happen. She wants permission from the wife so she comes in

"RE: Marie Osmond and Jonathan"
Posted by Snidget on 11-12-07 at 08:49 PM
Dancing to My Cherie Amour.

She is in a black one shouldered dress. Nice counter balance move on the steps. Donny in the house. He looks really shook up, I've never seen him like that.

Carrie Ann. What you do you do so well. I love watching you move and how you know what works for you. We need a little bit more aggressive with moves.

Len. I know the writers went on strike and your hips went out with them. I knew this was a tough dance for you. BOOOS. It was a sophisticated rumba and I liked it.

Bruno. Your interpretation Mrs Robinson you always get that right. You get the spirit and the acting of the dance, you need to put more steps in it if you want to win.

I think Marie is really fun and quit down to earth. But... the judges have been way too generous with her for too long.

I didn't think her dance was as good as Jennies.

I liked the second dance better. I'm a sucker for girls in cowgirl boots. She rocks. (Boo Bruno!)

"Helio Castroneves and Julianne"

They went over the tap and brought in a pit crew of professional ballroom dancers to help in.

"RE: Helio Castroneves and Julianne"

Dancing the Paso Doble to spanish matador music.

She is in a black body suit, yellow cumberbund and a black and yellow cape. He is in matador gear.

Len. Normally capes aren't my cup of tea but tonight they worked, your pit crew gave you an oil change.

Bruno. Polish has been applied and mission accomplished good spanish line.

Carrie Ann. Like the intensity, you brought the details back to your dance and that will take you to the top.

Tango and Mambo.

Mel's husband stops by to motivate the aggression. It seems to be working.

I loved them. They rock.

If Marie continues in this competition, there is no god.

Dancing To Personal Jesus Depache Mode.

She is in a black dres with corseting front
and back and it is a wide leg pant on the bottom (she did that for the fox trot, I don't know if I like that)

Bruno that was menacing a really scary spice. Strong and powerful

Carrie Ann. IT was strong and powerful, I liked the stalking at the beginning. You have separated yourself from the pack but you looked like you were concentrating on the steps.

Len wants to go while he was young. All I was doing was looking at your feet. All the correct footwork, but your shoulders were coming up.

I didn't even know she was married. Where do Eddie Murphy and a baby fit into the story? Or do I have the wrong spice?

"RE: Mel- totally OT"

Apparently, Eddie Murphy and Mel have a baby together but have not been together since conception or something.... got married not too long after baby.

"RE: Mel- totally OT"

When Maks wanted anger. I kept expecting the name of Eddie Murphy to be brought up. LOL! I was surprised they didn't get at least one 10. Carrie Ann even said Mel's steps were perfect. The judges seem to be sticking to an idea that nobody gets anything but an 8 or 9 in their first dance. I thought there was more difference in range than one point between dancers.

"Jennie Garth and Derek 2"

Dancing the fox trot.

she i ins a gold dress.

Dancing to I've got you under my skin.

"RE: Jennie Garth and Derek 2"
Posted by Snidget on 11-12-07 at 09:11 PM
She seems a little tentative going to the judges.

Carrie Ann. I know it is such a roller coaster. You did improve your posture, you tend to lead with your chin, very nice.

Len. One of the secrets is to come back stronger, and you impressed me, you did a great job on the heel turns.

Bruno. I'm going to have a go at you. You look like Veronica Lake and you don't unleash the star power because I know you have it in you, it was nice, but you can dazzle us and I wasn't dazzled.

Dancing the Cha Cha Cha.
She is in blue pants and bra top and he is in beige, both kinda retroish.

Dancing to Brown Sugar.

Len. I didn't find it terrible, What I will say it was a bit like painting by numbers. It was wooden and lacked naturalness. I liked it.

Bruno. It is too hard and stiff for a Cha Cha Cha. One of the thing things you have to do is flow, not bang wallow bang wallow

Carrie Ann. You look like you are having a great time. You need to work on is you hit the lines great but need to work on the in between moves.

I hate to sound like a broken record, and I know that it has been said, but it bears repeating.....the music they have to dance these dances to somewhat dictate how well the dance flows.

For some reason, I don't like the way he looks when he dances. I think he should go up a size in pants also.

Dancing to Whose Bed have your Boots Been Under.

Her routines are fun but seem a little simple.

"RE: Marie Osmond and Jonathan 2"
Posted by lynkfri13 on 11-12-07 at 09:38 PM
After watching the past couple weeks, I don't think she's a very great dancer, but I give her more credit as a performer than I had expected. She makes it more fun to watch than the actual dance deserves.
Unfortunately, I think she actually deserves to go home now.

"RE: Marie Osmond and Jonathan 2"
Posted by Snidget on 11-12-07 at 09:26 PM
Donny looking happier.

Bruno. It was cute it was fun with line dancing I didn't think there was enough jive steps. Marie says he is jiving her.

Carrie Ann. I love that it is a little bit country, I got it. I love what you do, but we were heading to the finals, I liked it but not enough jive.

Len. Kicks, Flicks, and Tricks, You gave us fun.

Nice death down the leg at the end. Julianne laughing.

Carrie Ann. Cheering like the audience. I loved it, exciting and intricate.

Len. You were like a dancing banana. That band is fantastic the singers are fantastic and that was fantastic.

Bruno. That was an explosive lift off you have the finishing line in sight.

I'm recording it, but will watch it later. DH likes it, but he likes Chuck & Heroes better. He's so good about watching others with me in real time, or recording them for me when I'm not home and not watching himself until I can watch, too. I let him have his shows first tonight.

looked very sad at the end last night. I turned back the TiVo several times, to look. She was the only one not smiling.
I think she feels the judges are being particularly hard on her and her choreography.

Why is that, you think? No 10's, that is. The way they pumped them up in that waltz, you would have sworn they were going to be 30'd, and NOPE, didn't happen! Is it the clothing factor, or the lack thereof? Or is she really that bad of a choreographer/teacher? What do you think is preventing them from getting that ONE 10 that they are striving so hard for???

(didn't want to start a new post for fear I'd be locked....)
