Just wondering....Is there a particular system? Priority, pulling straws, names from a hat, the producer decides??

Just wondering-some of them seem so mismatched with the partner they have. Like, was it last season, or the one before, when the basketball player had the short, tiny dancer that he towered over? I think Edita would have been a little better match for him-she is at least a bit taller!

If anyone has any insight, I'd love to hear it-even if it's made up-LOL. Anything would be better than nothing.
