I'm on the edge of my seat, wanting to know who's on the show this season, and I have heard absolutely nothing except that the cast will be announced "soon". Does anyone have any inside info or heard any rumors about this season?

I had heard about Newton, too. I would think he'd have some dancing experience, with all those years in Vegas, etc. But with being over 60, he may not be so spry, so, who knows??

It's amazing how this show started out being so 'low budget', and an embarrasment to the people on the first episode (at the beginning), and now higher class stars are asking to be chosen!

I hope they get a really cool group together this year-a variety of young and older! Can't wait to see!

It is funny how that happens.

I know the first couple of seasons it seemed no one wanted to be a guest performer on American Idol, either. Then people noticed how big a bump in sales the people that were "desperate" enough to do that got.

I can understand the first season or two you have to wonder if it is going to be one of those train wrecks you definitely don't want to be a part of. Once it is proven popular and a career booster you can't keep people away.

I have to say, I didn't watch the first year of Dancing, thinking it would be boring. What hooked me later was when I read that Jerry Springer was going to be on, and what a hoot that turned out to be! And,as disliked as she is, a lot of people also tuned it to see Heather Mills. I hope they have a good "controversial" contestant again this year.

Of course, another Apolo hottie-type wouldn't hurt, either!

I would LOVE to see an older rocker, like Gene Simmons or even Ozzie Ozborn on there, just to stir up the mix!! Wouldn't that be a hoot??

I think "Ashley" would be good for him. That's if she's coming back. Heard she left the show to have a baby, that's why she wasn't on it last season.

Cameron Mathison could be interesting...I remember reading an article about him a few yesrs ago, and he had some leg deformities as a child and spent years in leg braces, not sure if he would walk. This is a great thing for him. And according to People.com, Edyta is his partner, what a hot match!

I hope none of the male stars suck, because I love all of this year's female pros, but I'm very much afraid Cheryl Burke is going to be gone early, because that ancient fossil Wayne Newton is just about a lead pipe cinch to outsuck a shop-vac. Those old fossils usually last about half-way, then they run out of really bad dancers to vote off and have to vote off semi-bad ones like these old goats. A gorgeous young thing like Cheryl should NOT be paired with a guy with no chance to win, and that's what they've done this time.

I wonder if they draw names out of a hat, pick randomly, or give the names according to seniority? That would give Cheryl the advantage to work with whomever she wanted. But I know last year, several of the teacher/dancers said they were 'pleased when they found out (who they were dancing with', so I don't think they have anything to do with it.

I agree-not fair at all to Cheryl, but if she keeps getting younger, better, dancers, that wouldn't be fair, either. So, who knows??

It will be quite intersting. I don't think that Wayne Newton has the charisma that George or Jerry or even the last older man (too tired to remember his name!) had. We'll see....

I'm glad Cheryl got one of the old foggies this time. She's been extremely lucky to get great celebrity partners up till now. With Wayne its going to really make her have to work hard to show him off.

Yeah, but as a 2 time champ I think she has earned the right not to be given a one way ticket to the Land of Suckitude, and that's about what Wayne Newton is. And I think it's about time Edyta gets a really strong partner. She's a lovely, sexy woman with a super personality, and I'd love to see her win one.

BTW, the old guy last time was John Ratzenberger. He danced with Edyta, and she helped him last longer than he had any business lasting.
