I don't think the dancers get to choose the music. I read somewhere that they're "assigned" the song, and then the professional has to choreograph something to go along with that. It does seem as if Joey and Ashly ended up with the short end of the stick most of the time. Why in the world would they give them "Eye of the Tiger". TOTALLY not fair!!! A&K get the "sexy" music, while J&C seem to get the smoothest, coolest tunes.

Charlotte is Danish which is why her name is pronounced differently. Just thinking over past shows, I'm glad that Trista and her partner w/ the weird ponytail are gone. She would have freaked out about dancing too close & sexy w/ him. Odd, considering that she kissed 20 guys on tv while trying to find her "Bachelor". Anyway, good show overall. The finale should be interesting since the viewers don't vote. I'm guessing the judges have the final decision, so the winners should be obvious!

I so thought about Trista during last week's Samba. She never would have survived that fire.

Icey bounced my Dicey

I thought John and Charlotte were just wonderful. I loved their red and black costumes for the Paso Doble and when Charlotte removed her skirt and it became John's cape, it was just perfection! Charlotte's evening gowns are, IMHO, always the prettiest and the ones that most enhance the dances. When the two did the Fox Trot, her skirt just twirled and floated so beautifully, it added to the glamour. John was certainly very lucky in his partner's talents and Charlotte was so lucky to get someone so debonair. I hope they win!
I'm not sure how the voting will go next week. The public voted last night (and also on the Net) and from what the ABC website says, if there's a tie, then the popular vote will determine the winner. So, I'm not sure if the judges even need to vote next week. From the way I understand it, here's how it will go next weeK
First Place - 2 Points
Second Place- 1 Point
So if both the judges and the public count, then the maximum score would be four, and then, the second couple would get two.
But, if the judges' give their highest score to one team and the other team gets the highest voter total, then they'd be tied at three each, so then it would be the team that received more viewer votes that would win.
Maybe next week, the judges' scores will count for more than 50%, say 60 or 75%, that way, if one of the teams does either really well or really badly, in spite of the viewer votes, how the teams do for their final performance will make a difference.

Oh dear. I'm afraid I'm going to draw some fire here, but I'm going to be honest.

John and Charlotta have always been good, imo. John's a natural. But when he did the paso doble, I lost it. The look on his face just tickled my funny bone. He was supposed to look sexy, but, to me, he looked like maybe his pants were too tight, so to speak. lol Totally distracted me from watching their dance.

I'm voting for Kelly and Alec and here's why. For me it is about improvement. If a dancer is always good, while it's beautiful to watch, where's the excitement? J&C are wonderful dancers. No doubt about it. But Kelly and Alec have come such a long way that I feel like they deserve to win because I suspect they put more effort into it than J&C. That jmo.

I agree about John's facial expressions! He always makes me want to laugh . I do like them best for the win though and judging from what the judges have said, he is the one they have already chosen.
I do think Kelly has improved and I think her partner is really helping her all the way, but there is just something about her I can't get behind. I get the feeling I would not like her personally! It is just a feeling and I can't figure it out.
