"Heather Mills McCartney???"

I just read online that Paul McCartney's ex-wife "has plans" to be on DWTS. Please.god.no. She is an extremely unpopular figure right now, and I would have a hard time watching the show with her on it.

I agree. I don't think she should be considereed because nobody here in the U.S. had ever heard of her before she married Paul. I don't think DWTS should have "tabloid" stars on the show. What next, Joey Buttafuko?
She may have had some popularity in England but she is a nobody here. Why doesn't she save herself for the U.K. edition of DWTS? I am with you, she is a big NO!

ITA!!! Hoping the powers that be realize that having her on would do nothing but totally ruin a great show!!Hopefully, IF she were on, she'd be eliminated the very first time. Maybe her wooden leg would get caught on the hem of her skirt, and oooops..........

There's just way too much drama surrounding her, it would be more of a distraction than anything. Besides, she's messing with the Cute Beatle, and I won't have that!

Amen, Sista'!! I'd be stormin' that stage with you-I mean, how much could it take for a few sisters to take her down, right???I'd do just about ANYTHING for my Paulie!!!

Well, as we see, she IS in!! Let's just hope she gets voted out the very first round!! Come on, America, don't let this money-grabbing, gold-digging, Beatle-biter take anything away from this competition!!! This is JUST NOT FAIR to Paul, to the history of the British Invasion, to the history of Rock and Roll, to Paul, John, George, or Ringo!!!
UN-FREAKING-BELIEVABLE!!!!!

Couldn't have said it better myself, misty! Notice how, in the press, they're trying to put a positive spin on her, dropping off the McCartney name, mentioning her minefield and animal activism. Smoke and mirrors, and I ain't falling for it.
Call a spade a spade, she's a golddigging ex-escort.
She has to go, first round.

Don't mean to be prejudiced but how can she do all the dances with her wooden leg? If she were born that way I would get it but she had to learn to use that leg so how in the world will she do it?

I am SO glad to hear the reactions from you guys! I was nauseous when I heard that Mucca would be on DWTS! She is such a horrible person! I swear that if she even gets past the first voting, I will NEVER watch that show again! What is wrong with the producers??? Joey Buttafuco??? LOL That's a good one! Maybe Howard K Stern will be next also!!!
To the person who asked about Mucca's artifical leg. It is reported that she is very athletic, 'loves' to dance and does it quite regularly at clubs.

Bah, who cares if she's athletic. I know I and probably millions of others will watch in the hopes that we see her leg fall off. Also, I wonder how many splinters her partner got during rehearsals?

Now that we've seen her in one number, I really plead w/the show producers to eliminate her for her leg's sake and for our sake.I WANT TO ENJOY THE SHOW, not hold my breath for several minutes thinking she'll break a bone or something.
Besides, what she did to our beloved Paul is just unforgivable.

I've not been paying that much attention, but why all the "hate"?I mean I know Linda was pretty well loved, so I kind of expect some dislike of any woman he married after her death, but there seems to be a lot more "hate" than would be generated from just that.
I mean I know people like Paul and anyone he would be divorcing would get some fall out from that, but this seems a lot bigger than that.
Funny enough seeing the negative responses and knowing she is disabled kinda makes me want to root for her just because it makes her such an underdog.
Maybe people can enlighten me as to why she is so distasteful.
I mean Ann Coulter "hate" if she were on I kinda understand because she spends pretty much every waking moment of her life trying to peeve people off.
What did she do that was so bad other than marry, and then divorce, a man after his popular wife died of cancer?
I think the "hate" predates them splitting up, I just never paid much attention to the why of it.

It's a tribe creation!I put hate in " " because it may not be real hate, just seems that way.

When Paul popped the question to her his family "AND" hers said don't marry her cause she's just a money-grubbing whore. Turned out to be correct. There's something wrong if your family doesn't have a nice word to say either.

>Yeah, I recall some pretty nasty things said about Heather before and after the marriage. Seems like it was mostly Paul's daughter Stella who instigated a lot of the negatives. And from Heather's family...a sister. I also know she has a quieter group of people - world wide -, in fact, that respect her for her many years of charity work.
Well, I hope both of them can just get on with it. Best for their little girl who won't want to hear any nasty things about either of her parents. Stella needs to shut the F up, imo. When she does, I just bet there will be peace. What a horrid little trouble-maker. Linda would have been so ashamed of that girl.

She is playing quite dirty in her divorce proceedings as well. Making abuse claims and other rumoured claims etc.She played him quite well from the beginning.
I can't imagine her lasting past the first vote.

>What did she do that was so bad other than marry,
>and then divorce, a man after his popular wife
>died of cancer? A lot of stories about Heather Mills were suppressed by the media, which didn't want to run the risk of making her seem sympathetic, until after the divorce was announced.
Apparently she was a professional call girl (OK, she called herself an "escort") for a long time. Also apparently, she is such a control freak that she makes Yoko look laid-back. And she seems to have alienated every last one of Paul's friends. Everyone seemed to know it, because the stories that came out about her after the separation came fast and furious, and they didn't look like plants (unlike her stories of how Paul abused her, which were devoid of detail and sounded as phony as a $30,000 bill).
Of course, it makes Paul look like an old fool for marrying her, but then again, he probably is an old fool. All of his kids -- Heather (Paul's stepdaughter), Mary, Stella and James -- supposedly tried to convince him that he was making a mistake, and he just went on about how bad Linda's reputation was when they got married (which is true, but irrelevant -- after all, Linda was a groupie, while Heather Mills was a hooker).
And Paul does have a reputation for being extremely reserved, which I'm sure must have driven uberDAW Heather Mills crazy.

1. You can guarantee the ratings and number of call ins will be through the roof as people scramble to vote for anyone BUT.
2. Every one else will be safe for at least the first round.I actually like the concept as we get a chance to see some of the lesser knowns before the vote off.
Now, I may be mis-remembering, but are the producers waiting until the second week before the voting starts?

In the past, I've been a casual viewer of this show. I think I've seen maybe three or four, if that.
But the news that Heather Mills will be dancing will make me a regular. Not necessarily because of her physical challenge but more that I like supporting underdogs. And who has become Queen of those lately? Ms. Mills.
I'll say this real fast then duck. (j/k)
There are several things I find attractive about her. Mostly, how she's taken the heat. She neither neither started it nor pulled away entirely from it. So right there, she tells me she has some unusual talent in the world of high profile divorcee's.
I also don't like what was reported a while back - death threats.
Wasn't just the threats but the aftermath of public opinion in favor of those death threats. Meanwhile, Paul stayed silent -- now *that* was creepy, imo. Would have only taken just a few sincere words to the public to lay off Heather but no. All I remember him announcing is he wasn't involved in the threats during the investigation.
This is "Sir Paul", remember. How un-noble! (but then I'm anti giving movie and music stars noble titles, but that's another topic.)
I'll be rooting big time for Heather to dance her way to the Finale.
I'm just completely impressed she's even trying so if she makes it's through only one or two shows, I'd say that's pretty neat.

I recall Heather having solid proof backing up those nasty allegations. Like tapes and eye witnesses to the abuse, even some from friends of Linda's who claim she took similar abuse from Paul.
I heard he got a little down about that fact and fell into a depression so that's why he finally settled.
Paul did the wise thing, all things considered. Now Heather can concentrate on her dancing.
And Paul can do whatever he does...with Stella right by his side. (Personally, that alone, almost makes me feel a wee bit sorry for him.)

LAST EDITED ON 03-13-07 AT 08:01 PM (EST)even some from friends of Linda's who claim she took similar abuse from Paul
No, it was from (1) a literary agent who had interviewed Linda for a biography and then couldn't get the book published -- and who had previously claimed that Paul had had his book suppressed after Linda died, and (2) friends of HERS, not Linda's.
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/article609842.ece
The animosity between the couple has been taken to a new level, with friends of Lady McCartney claiming that she had told them that her husband had beaten his first wife, Linda.
Sir Paul’s former booking manager and a former publicist who claims that the former model impersonated her have stated in separate interviews that the claims of violence, cruelty and domestic abuse by his estranged wife defied belief.
An investigative journalist called Heather Mills, who works for Private Eye, recounted yesterday how Lady McCartney — who shared her name before marriage — pretended to be her for more than a year in the 1990s.
Details of the divorce papers were disputed by Geoff Baker, a senior member of Sir Paul’s staff for 15 years. “To brand Paul a wife-beater is the most absurd f***ing claim anyone can make,” he said. “I was with them for four years when she says a lot of this took place. I never saw him lay a finger on her or abuse her. Her allegations are outrageous lies. It is pure wickedness.”
Mr Baker said that the couple had seemed happy and “very much in love” during the singer’s American tour in November 2002, when it is alleged that he grabbed his wife’s neck and threw her over a table. He added that none of the 198-strong entourage had witnessed signs of problems.
He also challenged claims that Sir Paul pushed his pregnant wife into a bath while visiting Rome in May 2003, that he became violent when accused of smoking marijuana, and that he left her to crawl up the steps of an aircraft because there was not enough room for her wheelchair.
He was also astonished at the claim that Sir Paul had beaten Linda. “It’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard,” he said. “Everyone knows that Paul and Linda had one of the happiest marriages in showbusiness.” Mr Baker, who admits to disliking Lady McCartney and was consequently sacked from Sir Paul’s staff in 2004, also dismissed as “ludicrous” claims that the singer had lunged at his wife with a broken wine glass....
The one piece of semi-supporting evidence is that apparently Paul reached some sort of settlement with the agent/writer (Peter Cox) under which the "Linda tapes" were turned over to him, apparently in return for $400,000.
http://www.eonline.com/news/article/index.jsp?uuid=c926e559-561f-4e57-98ac-0c985130d485
Then again, maybe he really did have the guy's book killed and didn't want that to come out on top of everything being alleged by Heather Mills.

Anyone who would root for Heather Mills would only do so because of 1 of 2 reasons. (1) They do not know what a low-life, lying, disgusting, slutty, truly rotten person she is OR (2) They are sick themselves. Everytime she has had her back against the wall, she has come out with another set of lies! Paul on the other hand, has conducted himself with dignity. ANYONE who would do the things that woman has done and have the nerve to put herself on a tv show that is basically a popularity contest is exactly what ppl have portrayed her as.....a fantasist! She would say and do anything to get what she wants. And what she wants is lots and lots of money. Have no doubts...she will settle for the $56 mil in exchange for shared custody of Beatrice. MONEY...that's what she cares about. Don't EVER consider Mucca an underdog.......she is never disadvantaged. AND if she gets voted out right away, it will only be because of her 'disability'! Never, never because ppl despise her!

Heaven knows, I'm no McCartney fan (I preferred the smart Beatle most with the spiritual one a distant second and cute one far, far behind, barely beating out the least talented one). But I don't believe any of those allegations. Why you say?
Just the fact that anyone would make the claim that smoking pot made him violent is enough to have me in hysterics. Right. 'Cuz, you know, pot smokers are always running around, starting riots and rampaging in the streets. Okay, maybe if they discontinued making Twinkies or something. I'll grant you that. ROFLMAO!

I usually only post on the American Idol board -- that's about the only commercial TV I ever watch (yeah I know that's weird. lol)But I clicked over here just now just to see what y'all were saying about this.
I certainly hope that a) the rest of America agrees and b) the votes are honestly tallied.

Just tagging on:
It does seem Paul likes the bad girls.....
Linda his first wife a backstage groupie.
Heather a prostitute.
Backstage groupies: Females who will sleep with any and or all of the member of the band for free.
Prostitute: Females who have sex for money.
Which is smarter in the long run? Sex for free or sex for money?
Either way Paul picked both of the females to be his wife.....he isn't/wasn't very bright.
And it wouldn't suprise me if Paul did in fact abuse both of these Ladies. He came from a time when drugs and abuse were the norm and nothing was done about it (if one was a celebrity) and that seems to continue to this day for most celebrities.
Who cares if a bad girl from another country is on this show? I could care less if it were Paris Hilton doing the show....it is just another reality game show....But unlike most other reality shows we never hear of the winner again til the next season of the show.
Who cares why she is doing the show? All these celebrities are doing it to improve their lack luster images, to be in the limelight, etc. Heather is no different.

At first I was skeptical and wondered how she would do. I actually threw a few votes her way. The reason, I felt guilty and ashamed of myself, because the way she became handicapped could happen to any of us. I know if it had happened to me at such a young age unmarried no children etc. I might want to give up much less learn to dance. She married had a child and is dancing, so I agree with Heather Mills, If she can inspire a
young girl or a young boy who has lost a leg to know that they can instead of they can't it will be worth it. Stop hating cause no one knows what goes on behind closed doors. Lets vote her in for as long as she continues to do well.

They aren't throwing anyone off after week one, so everyone will get two weeks of dancing, but there was voting, and they will count.

well after that bit of melodrama, I forgot all about it and haven't watched yet. lol. silly me.I spend too much time as it is on Idol. I'm better off not getting sucked in here too.
Sounds like she's doing a good job, eh?

I'm afraid we're helping her stay on the show for as long as the controversy brings in more viewers.Yes, she used to be highly paid in the world's oldest profession. Soon as she hooked her best client, she retired and focused on ensuring a sure-shot at his millions. Bearing him just one child was all it took.

I was really willing to give her a chance. I see her marriage disaster as between 2 adults, but I just read a little blurb in Star magazine (so take it with a grain of salt), that doesn't speak well of her. It said that she didn't like who she was given as a partner, complained about her practice place and is just being a big diva backstage. I hope she goes before Billy Ray, because at least I'm pretty sure that he isn't a diva.

I don't have anything negative to say about Ms. Mills as a person because I believe very little of what the media has to say.. I do thank her for bringing the matter of dog/cat fur from China to the Larry King show one evening.. it was disgusting and eye-opening and who knew that the coat my mother bought was lined with dog fur? so I thank her for the heads-up on that.
I was really wondering how her leg would hold up and did think it might be interesting if it fell off.. to my shame, I thought that.
but we must all admit that she did a really good job last night.. she has more pizzazz than Leeza Gibbons and Shandi what's her name so if dancing is the important thing here, than we should give her a break, don't you think?

I dislike her more for the animal rights thing than for dumping Paul (which is partly his fault as well as hers). She's right about the dog fur thing, but like all activists for left wing causes, her attitude turns me off. That said, she's doing a damn good job with her dancing, and she can't be all that unpopular if the people are supporting her.

no. i don't even understand how she qualified. she is not a 'star' unless you become one by making headlines for divorcing someone.i hope she gets voted off the island. but i think she's getting a sympathy vote.
next thing you know, she'll be on regis and kelly.

I really don't know enough about her personal life to make either positive or negative comments. I can only comment on her dancing.I thought her second dance was great especially that flip she did. I don't remember seeing anyone else with two good legs do that.
She is also inspiring many who have physical challenges to go beyond what they thought they could.

Apparently she's now paying for that great flip with severe back pain.I'm going to give Heather a chance and not judge her on the whole Paul thing.

Remember last year when Joey Lawrence did a flip with a handstand??? Geesh, the judges gave him he!! but when Ms. Mills does it, it's fantastic!! No Problem!! They are amazed!! Another reason for me to dislike her, the judging is totally unfair!!

Actually, Joey was penalized for picking up Edyta and flipping her over his arm. It was considered a lift, because she could not do the move without his assistance, and they were penalized for it. Since Heather can do the walk over without assistance and part of her body remained in contact with the floor, there was no penalty.

Here are a couple of my cents...I think she's riding this McCartney marriage as far as it will take her. Do you really think they would have asked any other philanthropists/activists to be on the show?!?! I personally do not care for her at all and wouldn't mind her and her leg to dance their way off the stage never to return next week.

I completely agree! I do not like her at all.

As much as Heather is not on everyone's good side because of the divorce and gold digger status, I will not condem her. At least she is doing something with her life instead of being the bitter ex constantly in the courtroom to get $$$. She had a life before Paul, and she should continue to do so. I am sure Sir Paul is not just sitting around twiddling his thumbs because of the divorce.

Do the judges REALLY think Heather's all that great as a dancer, or is it simply because of her lack of leg??
She doesn't seem to be doing anything spectacular to get the marks that she does from them. JMHO...

His prosthetic leg fell off during the getaway
POMONA, California (AP) -- A man accused of using a chain and pickup truck to yank a 1,500-pound ATM from a market failed to escape police when his prosthetic leg fell off during the getaway.
...
"Daniels was on the ground near the vehicle in an attempt to flee from officers," Sgt. E. Vazquez said. "However, he was unsuccessful, as his prosthetic leg fell off."

They'll keep her on at least till John and Clyde are gone, as the show is now reaching the point at which the fans of bad dancers like them are no longer able or willing to keep propping them up.

Not sure if this has been mentioned-Heather Mills had her leg amputated BELOW the knee. This gives her about 90 percent more mobility than ABOVE the knee amputees have. Being able to keep your own natural knee is truly a blessing. I am an above the knee amputee and would NEVER be able to do most activities that she can do. ALSO, the cost of artificial limbs is out of most peoples reach. If an amputee can even afford one limb, they are lucky. Thanks to Pauls money, Heather can afford as many of the state of the art limbs that she wants. Most able bodied people are now under the impression that all amputees can dance like Heather. NOT TRUE.Plus the judges always treat her with kid gloves, never really ever criticizing her.
I agree that Clye and John will go next, but it has to be Heathers turn after that. I really want her to go back to the UK where folks KNOW what an opportunist whore she is.

don't agree, Heather obviously did not need Sir Paul's money for her artificial limbs. I'm sure she got a nice fat insurance settlement since it was a police motorcycle that ran her down.
But thanks for letting us know about the above knee vs. below knee differences.

Well, she did get a big settlement. 200,000 lbs. But with her lifestyle, I'm sure that was gone in a blink!
