Did anyone else hear that they (Sly & Sugar) are going to start a new boxing league (or belt perhaps?) with the fighters from the show? I saw it in an interview about Najai Turpin's death and how he was on the verge of changing his life by being a part of this new league. They where saying things like "no promoters" and "bringing boxing back to how it should be" ect...
Did I understand this right...and can they really possibly do anything like this?
Actually, the people behind the "new boxing" idea are Mark Burnett and Jeffrey Katzenberg of DreamWorks. Yeah, they can do this -- IF they can get the TV networks (especially HBO) to go along with them. But that's easier to say than to do.
Is there anything in the works with any network?I hope this dosn't have XFL written all over it!
From what I understand, Burnett and NBC are jointly looking at the possibility of keeping the 16 together, and fighting for a Contender belt on various cards. I believe that the plan is contingent on the success of the show; I have no idea if they feel the show has been sufficiently successful to this point or not. Presumably, I'll get my chance to ask at the season finale; whether Burnett or anyone will actually reveal anything is a different matter!
VFW you have got to get me a press pass lmao.
BTW after seeing Manny for the first time live, I am so off the band wagon, his fans are to much for this old man to hang with.
But I did get to see alot of old friends and I got a short wink off the Erik just after the fight, You could see the glow in his eyes (well eye the other eye was a bit swallon), that kid was flyin after the fight.
From what I can ascertain, I don't think they're doing the standard press pass routine for the finale. I believe they're staging it in much the same way as the fights we've seen so far: all bleachers, no press tables on the floor. I'm worming my way in as a member of Team Smith.Yeah, Manny's fans are something, huh? The Filipino journalists aren't too fond of adherng to the "no cheering in press row" rule, either.
Unfortunately, that never happened.
VoIP virtual phone number
Unlike the conventional phone system, a digital phone isn't assigned to just one particular tool. Whether you have a cell phone, tablet, or laptop, you can make use of any tool to make phone calls. It's all a matter of making a decision which tool you intend to obtain the call.
