Super middleweights this year instead of welterweights, which is good because they need a fresh start. The ONLY drawback I can see is that there is no mention of Sylvester Stallone coming back and co-hosting with Sugar Ray Leonard, which the show desperately needs. Sugar Ray hosting by himself in Season 2 was a DISASTER. The show needs the flamboyance and superstar power of Sly to capture the greatness of Season 1 that was severely lacking in Season 2, IMO.

Here's hoping that they return to the winning formula of making sure that each fighter is a human interest story first and a boxer second. Thanks for the news!

This makes me very angry. What is with ESPN and promotion? I found out about this today Sept 5th. The day after the premeire, now if I want to watch I missed the first show! URGH!

If I had heard anything at all about a new season I would've watch out for the premeire but This was the first I heard of it.

Anyone know if there is a replay or somewhere on the net I can watch?

I'm SURE it will be on again. And the first episode this year was a 'selection show' where we saw the initial 16 candidates cut to just 10 who will fight, so you didn't miss too much. I kinda like the change as it gives you a managable number of fighters to keep track of and get to know.


And it probably helps the bugdet too.
