Two fights, and both were one-sided. I have to admit that I was rooting for both of the winners. Michael Stewart came across as a jerk, and I was pleased that he not only lost, but he clearly lost every single round to Grady Brewer. Brewer, on the other hand, has come up big for a 35-year-old who has been retired for two years, soundly beating two arrogant jerks who underestimated him. Maybe he's right when he says that all he ever needed was a chance to train full-time and get into top shape. If so, it's a shame to think about all the time he wasted prior to The Contender.Nothing against Gary Balletto, but I thought he clearly lost his first fight to Aaron Torres, so I wanted to see him taken out before he advanced any furher. Norberto Bravo did that, all right. Balletto seemed worn out after round 3, and he paid for it in the last two rounds. It's hard to counterpunch, the way that Balletto did in round 3, and he kept trying to do it, but he was so worn out that he kept missing and looked like a big goof.
And now on to the final four. Forbes v. K9, and Grady v. Bravo. Any thoughts?
