"LOST COMPLETE RESPECT FOR THE CONTENDER"

I was so mad after watching those fights last night. Are we going to have to make it a true reality TV show and have the audience pick the winner? I am very disappointed in everyone involved with this whole contender Rematch. ESPN I hope you never show that damn show on there again. Give me my sportscenter not this crap. I was a big fan of the contender and I do not plan to watch any more seasons after this.

I agree MB probably wanted to assure his fighters won so he could market them for more money so he picked Judges and Refs that would guarenty victory for his fighters.

1) Sure Gomez was winning but that was the earliest fight stoppage I have ever seen. Perez was still fighter and wasn't even dazed.
2) Bonsante killed Brinkley. I mean I don't know what Brinklyey was doing. He acted like he was dancing with Bonsante the whole fighter rather than a boxing match.
3) Manfredo won that fight. Not by as much as Bonsante did but he definitely won it.

Look having Mora undefeated means more money for Burnett Boxing. Having Brinkley win is more marketable than having a journeyman 35 year old fighter win. And Gomez winning means Burnett can now market Gomez verese Mora....a fight of which Burnett definitely has Mora fixed to win. Did you hear Burnetts comments when the crowd was booing the Brinkley decision? Burnett made it sound like the announcer and crowd were nuts for thinking Bonsante won.

This debacle will kill the Contender rating for season two. Real boxing fans think the show is rigged because it is reality tv.....I could not argue with them after watching last night.

The audience would never be allowed to pick the winner. Because these are professional matches, judges and referees must be appointed by the California State Athletic Commission.

I'm now firmly convinced that those jokers must be the same people dressing Stevie Wonder. A blind man could have told you who won those fights on Saturday.

I disagree that the Gomez stoppage was premature. The guy he fought was getting pummeled pillar to post.

I used to be a huge boxing fan, but after Saturday, I'm reminded why I stopped watching the sport. That was disgraceful.
