Hey guys, I'm new to the board, but I got some updates involving Jimmy Lange. Jimmy will be fighting Perry Ballard (17-0-0) on 9/17/05, in fairfax Virginia. This fight will be for the WBE Light Middle Weight title, and his first fight since his fan favorite match versus Tarick. Ballard is a 38 year old orthodox fighter with 13 wins coming by way of knock out

Even I've never heard of the WBE, and I write about boxing for a living. I've heard of the WBA, WBC, WBF, WBU, IBU, IBC, IBF, WBO, IBO, IBA and God knows what else. But not the WBE. I'm sure it's a tremendously meaningful title. Seriously, though, good to see that Jimmy is able to pick up his career and get back in the ring. Seems like a talented fighter and a good guy.

I had to read it twice. First time I thought it said it was the WTF title.

Good luck to Lange, although I don't think he'll need it in this one. Its for bragging rights in W. Virginia, as I understand it.

I saw it in a Lange article;

WBE = World Boxing Empire

Now we know.
