"Some minor information and spoilers."

From the Star-Ledger and Daily News: the first talked with the sociology Professor, while the second went after the Gingers.

DN: (Nicole Eggert and Rachel Hunter)

Each castaway is contending directly against their counterpart (but we knew that: how does the ouster work?) for a spot on 'the winning team of seven', which makes it sound like we stop once we get down to one person per role. Team prize -- or is something being left out?

The island is Playa del Carmen in the Caribbean Sea: the contestants didn't know their location during the taping.

No Ginger vs. Ginger catfights took place.

Some of the challenges were 'horrible. We go where Survivor went and beyond.' (Hunter)

'Giant confidentiality agreements' were signed.

The Gingers had a beaded evening gown and a bathing suit each.

Eggert 'didn't do that well.' (Eggert)

S-L: (Eric Anderson)

This Prof went in because he wanted to 'put another gay identity out there in popular culture, that of an academic.' (Anderson)

One of the Gilligans is also openly gay. Presumably the one that didn't crash a ship while girl-watching. He and Anderson were cast to 'contrast against the millionaires, who Anderson said are uncomfortable around gay people. "I knew ahead of time this was part of the formula."' (Anderson) Interesting...

Anderson writes and lectures on images of straight and gay sexuality in the media, focusing on professional sports. His website is www.thegayprofessor.com

The contestants were blindfolded prior to their trip to Playa del Carmen.

Anderson went on a 900-calories-per-day diet to prepare for the show, read survivalist literature, and studied up on bamboo's physical properties.

That probably means he's going first.

A gay Gilligan on top of a gay Professor? Um, that's not what I meant. Is this on the Bravo network or what? I am skeptical about the 'gay Gilligan' allegation, it may be an intentional misdirection or jab at one of the Gilligans that disrespected him. The Tall freaky Gilligan claims to be married. The normal looking Gilligan claims to have crashed a boat while eyeing a girl.

Well, while Professor Eric was openly gay, neither of the Gilligans appears to be too open about it. Giliigan Chris, from the previews last night, appears to be hooking up with Mary Ann Kate.

Handcrafted by Rolly - ain't it cool!!

Keep lookin' up, cuz that's where it all is. o-

...and Gilligan Goober was drooling over the idea of getting to pedal the bike while Rachel Hunter took a bath, so I'd also say that's some pretty non-gay behavior.

Sounds like the reporter got some bogus info.
