Mary Ann Kate is a complete tool! WTF did she think the Stearns would do for her after making the final three?

Reminded me of Average Joe. The Good Looking guy always gets the Chick and now the Multi-Millionaire always gets the money. LOL!

I was so glad Mary Ann Kate lost - what an imbecile!

Thank goodness it's over! You would think, after all the reality games that have been aired by now, more of them would show up knowing how to play the game. But only Glenn really understood (though Rachel took a fair stab at upsetting his strategy). Well, I've ep 6 summ to get posted later, then ep 8 when I can get around to it after Christmas weekend. This show gets progressively worse to summ as it goes along, unfortunately.

ARRRRRRR!!!!

"MA Kate"

She's thinking long-term.
Well, she'll probably get more out of her friendship with them, than the quarter-mil (before taxes). They offered Gilligan Chris a job, and I'm sure that she'll be taken care of too. A potential life-time of networking with Millionaires who are like your 2nd parents Isn't a bad runner-up prize.

but yes, overall, this show was just blah!

Yes I think Mary Ann Kate was thinking long term. It was eluded to in the hut between Gilligan and Mary Ann that they had offered her a job too. But they cut it off before we heard all the details. So I think she was scared of upsetting them. She knew she would win after the show if she voted the way that made them happy.

I too am glad Mary Ann lost, what a stupid B!tch. woo, hoo, you won a whole $2,500, a year's supply of bikini briefs, and a shot in Maxium. She couldn't read the map, what a surprise.
At least they didn't have a 'final contestant vote' like survivor, I hate that.
The idea of a game where the contestants don't all have similar chances and motivations is weak.
Mr. Steans to Gilligan: "that's why you are where you are", Ummm, he's a 20 year old kid. ????
There was an ad indicating there was going to be a season two in 2005. I'm not seeing the novelity enduring through a second season.
I still want to know what the tie breaker was. I still think a gay Psycology Professor was just wrong.

Least satisfying ending ever. Oh, look: the half-billionaire got a quarter million and a new car. He normally earns that in interest in about a week, but this time, he had to miss a few meals for it! Let's hear it for the earning power of not eating!

This show had a lot of potential and could have been much better. I dont mind the millionaires winning since they said from the beginning that any winnings would be donated to charity. Better a charity win that money than the other people on the show - I just hope they list what charity it was that got it.

Just wanted to add a few points:

1) Didn't like the final challenge only because it didn't give everyone a fair chance to win. It was too physical. No way the Skipper would have won that challenge. It's best he was voted off already, I guess.

2) I am also happy Mary-Ann was LAST in the final challenge. I went from liking her to hating her in 45 minutes! It's a growing trend that is starting to turn my stomach where reality show contestants talk about honesty and integrity. Check your self respect at the door and play the freakin game!

3) When they were doing the remembering sequence, I was really hoping the final challenge would have involved the banished cast members making a return. Something where your alter-ego had to help you win (or tried to prevent you from winning) or something. Mrs. Howell Green was definitely the high-light of the show and she needed to make an appearance in the final episode!

4) I enjoyed the show and I'm actually looking forward to season 2! Bring it on!

They obviously never wanted the Skipper to be their winner. Neither Skipper could have beaten 2 other people to win that final challenge.

And how Mary Ann Kate voted near the end made no difference. She was not going to win that challenge over either millionaire or Gilligan or Rachel. The Skipper and the Professor were the only 2 she would have had a chance of beating in the final. And the Professor was the first one out. So looking back it would not have made a difference who she sided with. She was not going to win that physical challenge.

However, she didn’t have to pile more money onto the ½ Billionnaires. Wasn’t Gilligan her buddy? I don’t understand what she was thinking. Mind-boggling. If you were a Multi-Millionaire liked the Stearns would you want her working for you?

I agree the premise of the show largely favored the Millionaires. They got two votes and they obviously have some brains. Look at the other contestants – the only one with half a brain was the Professor and he had too much integrity. These Millionaires were also fit. If they put a Jim Backus kinda guy in there it might have been different.

The producers of this show couldn’t care less about making this a fair competition.

Agreed that MaryAnne would have had a hard time winning that particular challenge against anyone but the skipper, primarilly because of the buried chest. But, if she had voted the Stearns' off instead of the Skipper and Gilligan, she would have had a realistic chance, I am thinking 1 in 4, against Gilligan (I don't even give the Skipper a chance). Gilligan was kind of a doofus, it is possible Gilligan could have read the map wrong and ended up on the other side of the island. Or done some other doofus move.
