Ok...they getting ready to jump and have one of their teammates catch them before dropping! That is too far up for me...I would panic!Who else is watching?
I.HATE.NICOLEI.HEART.SAM!
I feel the same. I was really hoping that Sam would walk back on but have would been surprised. Sam did fail the test. Nicole was just guilty of being a witch.Cool show though.
I too dislike Nicole, and I think Branson will likely dump her the first chance he has--which could be soon since no one else seems to like her either. Or perhaps she will accidently stick one of those stupid chopsticks into her brain. I do not understand why she runs around with that stupid hairstyle using 12 inch chopsticks to hold her bun in place.Sam seems like a nice enough guy. On the other hand he really made a bad and/or ignorant decision in agreeing to go over the Falls in that barrel. Yeah, he was trusting Branson to make the choice for him--but Branson is not looking for a yes-man. He's looking (presumably) for a leader.
I thought that this "test" was a rook. Every week they are allegedly doing life-threating, no-one's ever done this before, you could get hurt" stunts. The whole premise of the show is that we're going to do some really insane stuff and hopefully you won't get hurt...but don't worry Richard is doing it too.People HAVE gone over waterfalls in barrells, so it isn't unreasonable to think that this is a legitimate stunt. When you are bascially told again and again and agan "do this or you're going home", then you are going to do whatever you have to do to stay in the game.
JUST LAST WEEK one of the contestants (I can't even remember which at this point) left the game because she wasn't willing to do one of the "safe" stunts. It seems idiotic and unfair to me to punish a contestant for actually buying in to the concept of the show and trusting Branson and the producers.

My thoughts exactly. I thought it was rather mean to send Sam home because he was willing to do the stunt. Everyone was given the impression that you would be eliminated if you failed to complete a stunt, so of course someone is going to be willing to go through with it. To turn around and have the attitude, 'You fool, did you really think we were going to be dropped 350 feet in a barrel? Go home!' is unfair. Then we have Nicole thinking she was so wise for backing out, when really she was probably just too scared. I really wished Richard had sent her home after that despicable gloating she did at the dinner table. She showed a total disregard for Sam's feelings.
"Or perhaps she will accidently stick one of those stupid chopsticks into her brain. I do not understand why she runs around with that stupid hairstyle using 12 inch chopsticks to hold her bun in place."Bwah! The first time I saw it I said "What in the Hell has she got in her hair? She looks like an idiot." Of course, her fugly hairstyle can't hold a candle to her snotty behavior. I don't see her going much farther if she doesn't learn to shut up on occaision.

Why is there so little talk about this show? Nobody's watching it?Anyway, I was disappointed to see Nicole walk onto the plane instead of Sam. It was funny how she was going on and on about how happy she was, and was completely oblivious to the fact NOBODY was glad to see her.
LAST EDITED ON 11-18-04 AT 09:39 AM (EST)That must be fun for Nicole's family and friends to watch.
LAST EDITED ON 11-19-04 AT 10:50 PM (EST)GOD I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!
But usually we get a voiceover by Richard explaining why he chose the person he did.. this time not. Which made me wonder why unless its the obligatory keep the person hated most to s#### stir the pot some. Because frankly Sam had Balls and he made less of an a@@ of himself than Nicole.
But Richard is such a fearless leader and such a good heart that anyone would be hardpressed in disappointing him. I know I wouldn't but I would want Richard to understand why I was afraid long before the legal briefs appeared.
"usually we get a voiceover by Richard explaining why he chose the person he did."Agree. I thought Richard's silence spoke volumes.
