Pruned or Ruined? Happily, Desperate Housewife Eva Longoria is on the mend after last week's on-set noggin knock. But her favorite garden tool, Jesse Metcalfe, isn't faring as well, according to Star. Jesse's, well, desperate because his role on the hit show ends after the third episode of the new season. Hollywood is a cruel town. And elsewhere in the mag, the shirtless lawn boy got a clear view of his sliding place in the pecking order when he was rejected at the door of Hollywood's Tropicana bar because the club was reportedly "at capacity." Moments later, there was apparently a sudden capacity fluctuation, as Kirsten Dunst strolled up...and rolled right in. Worse yet, over in the Globe, they've got a photo of Jesse doing a little nasal mining with his index finger. Maybe he's trying to dig himself out of this nasty situation. After all, he is a gardener. At least for three more episodes.

Entertainment Weekly this week says that Jesse is taking time away from Desperate Housewives to be in a movie. The writer that was interviewed said he hoped Jesse would/could return after the movie was completed.

Has a preview of the upcoming season:

Rex is dead and the first episode begins at his funeral.

George isn't out of the picture either. TV Guide says he will wait an appropriate amount of time before pursuing Bree.

Betty and Matthew (the mother/son on the finale) have a dark secret that hasn't been dealt with much on television and everyone will be shocked. incest?

Lynette has trouble getting back into working life and she will have a very demanding boss (Joely Fisher).

Gabby tries to make her marriage works as John is going to only be on but the first few episodes.

Susan has a hard time dealing with the fact that Mike is Zach's father.

Oh PLEASE don't say Rex is dead, I know they start the season with his funeral BUT the preview I saw showed Bree saying "wait, dont close that coffin" couldn't there be just a little glimmer of hope here? If she all in mourning its gonna be SUCH a downer...I'd much rather see Rex come back to hunt down that puny lil pharmasist.

Hey Vols, Thanks for all the info. Can't WAIT for Sunday night's episode. Too bad Rex is dead and they might also be getting rid of the cute lawnboy. Geeezzzz....

Oh, and do you happen to have a link to the tv guide article or was it not posted online?

Here's to hoping the second season is as good as the first!

I read it last week when I received my guide. I haven't looked online for it.
