heard on ET last night that none of the men know their fates regarding if they are coming back for another season of DH...They filmed alternate endings for every scene and the men won't know if their contracts are renewed until July...So...someone is obviously out...who do you think it will be?
Hmmm...I'd be ok if Paul went (happy actually), and I'm not particularly attached to Bree's husband (what's hisname?). Either of them would be ok with me but I do hope the others stay. Eye candy and all.Welcome to the boards sarah!

*WooHoo, I got me a Syren and a bounce from IceCat!*
I would say Paul or Rex. I'm leaning toward Paul. His story will pretty much be wrapped up after this season. Rex's could, but I think there's a little more left there.

I agree and believe that Paul is done. Maybe he comes back to try and get Zach and gets killed in the process.

My eyes!! My eyes!! Bounced by Icecat
Well, it's not Carlos. I remember reading an interview with the actor earlier in the season where they pointed out how much he was helping the show demographics-wise. And in an era where shows are being questioned for not being appropriately diverse, there's no way they'd get rid of him.Besides, did you SEE him when he got out of the tub last week? Yum.
I'm betting either Paul - since, after all, he's been killing people himself and doesn't have a storyline future - or John the gardener, since he is peripheral (yet it wouldn't be a surprise if Carlos killed him). Rex would fit storyline-wise, but I'd be oh so disappointed...unless it meant he'd have more time to be the sleazy Majority Leader on West Wing.

Besides, did you SEE him when he got out of the tub last week? Yum.Carlos is quite yummy, but I didn't notice him getting out of the tub because I was too busy laughing at him singing and dancing in the tub.
I too don't want Rex to go.

I think all the men will come back. I think the one who will be gone will be Mrs. whatshername's sister who had Zac living with her now. I think the thing about the men may be a pr ploy. Maybe Zac kills her by accident?
~spoilers from last night so if you didn't watch don't read~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~After last night with Mike kicking Paul's @ss at the baseball fields, I am tempted to say that he's out too...but then Rex with the heart attack also seems interesting...I LOVED it when Bree was making the bed...it was so appalling..
Best line last night was when Lynette said "Can I CUT YOU...a piece?" to Anna something...
The best line of the night for me was when the police caught Carlos after he kicked that boys tail and the cops asked the kid if it was true that he was sleeping with Gabby and he says that he's gay. Carlos says "You're gay?!! Ohh, not again!!" and the cop says "What do you mean...'not again'?"That was good stuff.

"Power concedes to nothing.....without a demand. But power won't
even concede to a demand, when that demand comes from a weak
constituency that lacks testicular fortitude." ~ Minister Louis Farrakhan
I agree Captain, that line had me in tears. Carlos has been way too entertaining lately to lose him. I'm not even interested in him as eye candy, I think he is a great actor and the character is the perfect foil for Gabrielle.
LAST EDITED ON 05-18-05 AT 12:37 PM (EST)Hidden text information, courtesy of TV Guide Online, that eliminates three potential victims (edited to add that actually it eliminates more than three, but it just names three specific characters that do not die):
Question: So, according to your spoiler in last week's AA, Carlos on Desperate Housewives might go to prison for eight years instead of eight months. What does this mean for the actor playing Carlos! — Jackie
Ausiello: It means he'll be spending a lot of time behind bars next season. In fact, series creator Marc Cherry told me at the ABC party that he's constructing a prison set for Ricardo Chavira to shoot his scenes in. "He'll be in there for a while," Cherry said. "We'll see him pulling strings from inside the jail cell."
Question: Any hints as to who dies in Sunday's Desperate Houswives finale? — Kelli
Ausiello: MAJOR SPOILER ALERT: (More Space) The character is male. And it's not Paul. Or Mike. Or Carlos.

Interesting Bebo, now I have questions...I was so sure I knew but I guess it will be a surprise. Hidden text below...Wondering if it could be Deidra's father...who else could it be...what about the pharmacist? I just hope it's not a husband.

Hidden text below...
I got the impression it was a major character. I wouldn't consider either of them a major character. Plus we've known that Diedre's father is not in good health, and he is expected to die. I get the feeling this will be something we don't expect.

LAST EDITED ON 05-20-05 AT 12:42 PM (EST)So it is definitely a male who is going.
DH Men by key character:
Edie--no one with a storyline
Susan--ex hubby, plumber boyfriend Mike, her mom's fiance (Bob Newhart)
Mike--his "employer"
Bree--hubby, son, pharmacist/friend
Lynette--hubby, sons, father-in-law
Gabrielle--hubby, lover, lover's roommate
Paul, his son Zach, private detective
Who has intrigue and is expendable? Gabrielle's lover, the pharmacist, Mike's employer --we were already told he does not have a lot of time.I nominate the pharmacist. Maybe they figure out that he tampered with the pills?
I'm thinking its Lynette's husband that leaves the show.Their marriage is on shakey ground and he lost his job. Maybe the character doesn't die but they kill off the character by having him abandon his family. By his character being gone it makes Lynette's situation more "Desperate".
Then again maybe Lynette goes back to work and her husband stays home with the kids and he becomes the next "Desperate Housewife".
I heard, but have no link because I actually forget where I heard this from, that Tom (Doug Savant) has already signed a contract for next year and will now be a series regular. Seems he is very popular. I loved him on Melrose place.
What if season 1 begins and ends with a suicide?

Really good chance...i'm fascinated...the weekend can't come fast enough!
Well I guess we know now! Though he may be able to come back from the dead! Anything's game on this show.
