I just heard that

Alfre Woodard will be the newest housewife to Wysteria Lane. They are supposed to bring her family in on the last episode.

She is from Tulsa Oklahoma and played Ms. Josephine in Beauty Shop, she has been in other movies but that is the most recent. Just thought I would share my info....

She is one fabulous actress. Should be interesting to see what sort of character they'll write for her.

I really dig her a lot, I hope they make her catty. I love Nicolete Sheridan's character, but would like to see catty done without the slutty attached to it. Calculating, manipulative, sneaky, but nice to your face. Kinda like Mrs. Huber's sister.

Any ideas on her charachter? I read somewhere (I have been looking for it for about 30 mins and can't find) where a new family would be brought in and the son is going to be very mysterious and that he (the son) had done something so horrible the family had to move away. I wonder if she will be the mother?

All I know is she's won an Emmy for guest-starring on The Practice, but I'm pretty sure she's had many more award-winning performances.

Ooooh good! She's a fantastic actor.

I really liked her in these two underrated movies:
Mumford
Heart and Souls

Actually those are both very heartwarming movies. I should rent them!
