Episode 6.01: Title Unknown (Season premiere)
Airdate: September 27, 2009

07/12 - A young woman (Julie or Carlos' niece maybe?) is at the Vitale's house to help Dominic with his homework. Once they are done, Dominic asks the young lady to the movies but the latter refuses as she feels uncomfortable with the situation. Dominic tries to convince her by saying they are friends. She's saved by the bell when Nick orders Dominic to take the trash out. While Dominic is out, the young woman tells Nick that she just came out of a relationship that didn't end well which is why she didn't want to go to the movies with Dominic. Nick seems quite understanding and even tells the young woman that she is way out of his son's league. From the looks of it, it seems that the Vitale family moved around a lot and a some bad luck too. Nick firmly believes that their luck will change because he gets a good vibe from Wisteria Lane and thinks that people don't butt into each other's lives... if he only knew! Lynette goes to the obstetrician's office. While waiting, she shares parenting/couple tips and tricks with a young pregnant woman. Source: SpoilerFix.com

07/10 - Sources tell me September's Desperate Housewives premiere is set to feature a Susan Mayer wedding... or the preparations for one at least (who knows if she'll actually go through with the "I do"s). Now, this doesn't necessarily mean that Susan wasn't the lady Mike married in the season finale. As every Desperate fan knows, the show is no stranger to flashbacks, divorces or second chances. Source: Zap2It's Korbi TV

07/10 - Peggy: Mid 20s, a fresh-faced very pregnant woman in her 20's, she idealistic and blissful about having her first baby... until she meets a woman who tells her all the headaches of being a parent. John: Peggy's helpful husband in his mid 20's. Sales Lady: In her 40's, this woman in a Bed Bath and Beyond-type store helps a couple with sheets. Delivery Man: This UPS-type man in his 30's - 40's has a delivery for a neighbor. Nick Vitale: A handsome New York-Italian man in his 40's, Nick is a landscape designer. His energy is contained and internal. Series regular (with a minimum of 15 episodes). Dominic Vitale: Nick's sexy, intense New York-Italian 19 year old son. He's a good kid at heart, but is tightly wound. Series regular. Source: SpoilerTV

07/10 - Emmy-winning Sopranos heroine Drea de Matteo is joining the cast as Wisteria Lane's newest vixenish housewife, sources confirm to me exclusively. De Matteo, who will be a series regular, will play the matriarch of a new Italian family. Source: The Ausiello Files

07/10 - Based on the arrival script for de Matteo's character, she's for certain a fish out of water, having traded the noise and grime of New York City for a serene picket-fenced life on Wisteria Lane. De Matteo's on-screen family has yet to be cast, but it appears that the son will attempt to strike a spark with one of the neighborhood girls. (Perhaps Gaby's freshly introduced bad-girl niece?) The husband, meanwhile, seems likeable enough - if a bit, um, flirty. Source: TV Guide Online

07/10 - Drea de Matteo's new housewife, Angie, who is moving into Desperate Housewives next season, now has a husband and son. Playing hubby Nick will be Jeffrey Nordling, who most recently was seen dying on 24 as FBI agent Larry Moss. Stepping in as son Dominic, will be 20-year-old Beau Mirchoff, who played Ben on the short-lived cable series, Heartland. Source: TV Guide Magazine

Episode 6.02: Title Unknown
Airdate: October 4, 2009

07/10 - Roy Handler: A crusty Caucasian man in his 70s. Recurring guest star. Source: SpoilerTV

General Spoilers:

07/10 - Wisteria Lane is welcoming back one of its own this fall: Original Desperate Housewives star Andrea Bowen has signed on to reprise her role as Susan's eldest spawn, Julie. Although ABC would only confirm that Bowen is set to appear in the Sept. 27 season premiere, a Housewives insider tells me that the actress is returning as a series regular. Bowen vanished from Housewives at the end of season 4, a casualty of the show's four-year flash forward. She briefly returned last season when Julie, on break from college, announced that she was dating her 40-year-old professor Lloyd (Steven Weber). It's not clear if he'll be accompanying her back home, but I'm guessing not. <... Kyle MacLachlan will> remain a series regular. <...> Source: The Ausiello Files

06/21 - A source close to the Desperate Housewives set tells us neither Teri Hatcher nor Dana Delany were actually at the altar, just to make sure no one would be able to spill the season-five cliffhanger. However, the source did spill a juicy tidbit that may be a clue as to who the new happy couple is: Following the car accident in the season finale, where Susan and Mike embraced, the script read, "The family is reunited." Could that point to Susan being under the veil? Source: Kristin on E!Online

06/21 - One of the biggest laughs in the Desperate Housewives season finale was when Felicity Huffman's Lynette, who was worried sick her cancer had returned, learned she was pregnant with twins! "Are you sure it's not cancer?" she asked her doctor. <...> Lynette will absolutely be pregnant when the series returns for Season 6. And abortion will not be an option. "I could never do that," Cherry says. "The network would never let me." But he adds, "On TV you can always have a miscarriage." (Lynette had better stay away from staircases for the next few months.) Felicity finds her character's new story line amusing. "The Scavos aren't stopping until we can field an entire softball team," jokes the actress, who's now referring to Lynette as the "old lady on Wisteria Lane who had so many children her uterus fell out." Episode 6.01: What Wedding, What Way (Season premiere)
Airdate: September 27, 2009

07/24 - Could there be a double wedding in the works on Desperate Housewives, wherein Teri Hatcher as Susan Mayer marries one guy and Dana Delany as Katherine Mayfair marries another? Or are the producers just playing with us? Source: Kristin on E!Online

Episode 6.02: Rock On
Airdate: October 4, 2009

07/24 - Eddie: An 18-19 year old interesting, somewhat off-beat, neighborhood guy. Eddie is very charming and likeable, but may not be all that he seems on the surface. Recurring guest star throughout season 6. <...> Dr. Hill: An authoritative ER doctor in his 40s - 50s. He takes extra precaution with his patient by running additional tests. Possible Recurring. Detective: A detective in his 30s - 50, he interviews neighbors about a case. Possible Recurring. Two officers: Two uniformed police officers in their late 20s - late 30s, they investigate suspicious behavior in the neighborhood. Source: SpoilerTV

Episode 6.03: Title Unknown
Airdate: October 11, 2009

07/24 - Jesse Metcalfe is actually coming back to Wisteria Lane. Though the season one Desperate Housewives star supposedly filmed scenes for the show this spring and was rumored to be returning, May's finale flew by with nary a mention of Gaby's old gardener-boy. But ABC now confirms that Metcalfe will reprise his role as John Rowland in the third and fourth episodes of the upcoming DH year. We last saw John during season four, married to a rich, daddy's girl. Housewives creator Marc Cherry says the character is now divorced and doing well. Well enough to catch the eye of Carlos' teenage niece, Ana? Cherry told TV Guide this week, "When Ana finds out that Gabrielle had an affair with John, she sets her sights on him, which upsets Gabrielle." Source: Zap2It's Korbi TV

08/02 - One Orson is apparently not enough for Desperate Housewives. Kyle Maclachlan is a permanent fixture on Wisteria Lane as Bree's klepto hubby, Orson Hodge. But now, the series is adding veteran actor Orson Bean, 81, in the recurring role of Roy. He will be Karen McCluskey's new (and equally curmudgeonly) boyfriend, filling the void left in Mrs. M's life by the deaths of her only two friends, Ida Greenberg and Edie Britt. Creator Marc Cherry tells me we can expect Roy to "stick around for awhile," until of course he dies and McCluskey sticks him in her basement freezer! Source: TV Guide Magazine

07/31 - Two police officers drop by one of the houses to question a young female character about her whereabouts last night around eleven o'clock. The young lady admits that she was in bed, as her mother confirms, but that she went out when a male friend called her. So she snuck out of the house. The mother is pissed off that her daughter disobeyed her rules. The young lady claims that she and the boy hung at the park down the street. A female character is brought to the hospital unconscious. The doctor wants to run more tests, such as a CT scan. A lady that came with the ill character tells the doctor that they can run that test because the ill woman may be pregnant. The female injured character ends up in a coma and has intracranial swelling. She came out of her coma for about 15 seconds. Two characters, a male and a female, are afraid that she will remember what she saw during those few seconds of consciousness. When Eddie is introduced, he chats with one of the Housewives (most likely Lynette) about school, the fact that he traveled to Paris with his father while on a business trip, that he may study International Relations in college because of this one girl he met in Paris , etc. Source: SpoilerFix.com

Episode 6.04: Title Unknown
Airdate: October 18, 2009

08/09 - Richard: A groom in his mid 20's, he is in the middle his wedding vows when all Hell breaks out in the background. Annie: Richard's bride-to-be in her mid-20's, she sorts through a wide variety of cakes before finding the perfect one. Later, she is at the wedding as it becomes chaotic. Professor: A college professor in his 50's, he is interrupted in the middle of his lecture by a woman that storms in to his classroom. Ralph: 40's - 60, Ralph owns a dry cleaner and returns some items found in his customer's clothing. Minister: A male minister in his 40's - 50's, he weds Richard and Annie. Source: SpoilerTV

General Spoilers:

08/09 - Meet the Vitale family, er, make that the Bolen family! Desperate Housewives' newest clan on the block was originally supposed to be Italian. But creator Marc Cherry gave the family an ethnic makeover after casting the blond, blue-eyed Jeffrey Nordling as Bolen patriarch Nick. "We originally were casting Italian actors. Then Jeffrey came in and blew us off our feet," says Cherry, who is likely switching Nick's job from landscaper to "some kind of handyman to connect to Mike's plumbing." With Edie Britt's death, gay neighbor Lee takes over as Wisteria Lane's new real-estate agent and sells Mary Alice's old house to the Bolens after they depart New York City. Cherry says the season premiere finds the Bolens getting "caught up in a disastrous thing" involving Susan's daughter, Julie, "and because of the attention focused on them, they worry that their secret will be exposed. Pretty much everyone in the family is keeping secrets from each other." This could have deadly consequences for the Bolens, played by three actors who each signed for just one season and have had plenty of violent screen time. Jeffrey, 47, bit it last year as 24's FBI agent Larry Moss. Beau Mirchoff, 20, cast as sullen son Danny, tried to outrun aliens in "Scary Movie 4." And Drea de Matteo, 37, who'll be playing abrasive housewife Angie, was famously shot in the woods as The Sopranos' Adriana. "I die everywhere I go," Drea says. "I wouldn't hold my new character too dear, because on this show, people get killed." Jeffrey adds, "Hopefully there's no bullets flying around Wisteria Lane!" Though still in the dark about Angie's secret past, Drea would love to see a Sopranos shocker, with Angie turning out to be Adriana, who was memorably shot off screen and long-rumored to have secretly entered the Witness Protection Program. "That would be a really funny joke that Desperate Housewives could definitely get away with," she says. "Who knows?" Being the new housewife on Wisteria Lane, Drea already knows her character is not meant to fit in and will likely clash with many of them. "I would see her getting along with Susan, and going after people like Bree, Gaby and Katherine," says Drea. Unlike her Sopranos character, Adrianna, Angie is not into fashion. "She's a little more on the Bohemian side. She's a pretty liberal Gypsyesque sort of girl. The only similarity to Adrianna is the heavy Brooklyn accent." The first scene Drea shot was with all the other Housewives, which she found a bit intimidating. <...> Relative newcomer Beau grew up playing football, lacrosse and guitar in Victoria, B.C. He describes his college student Danny as "a little sullen and very peculiar - not like normal 19-year-old kids. He had to leave everything he was doing in New York, so now he's kind of lost. He's got some issues he's dealing with but those won't be discovered until a little later as the series goes on." His romantic options seem to be Julie or Gaby's niece, Ana. "There's definitely a couple options out there," says a tickled Beau, who is single in real life. Source: TV Guide Magazine

08/16 - As for who's really under the veil, Delany said, "Lets just put it this way: Both Susan and Katherine believe that they're the bride. It's not good for their friendship. I'm very happy with my storyline this season because Katherine is getting to be a little snarky again. She's getting her edge back." Source: Kristin on E!Online

General Spoilers:

08/30 - "I don't see Drea as a replacement for Nicolette Sheridan," says. "Her character is more a replacement for Neal McDonough in that she's of the new mystery." Cherry goes on to describe Drea's matriarch, Angie Bolen, as "a very loving but tough Italian woman who comes with her husband and her kid. They're running from something. We understand through her actions in the first couple of episodes that she's a smart woman who will do what she has to to protect her family." <...> Poor Orson won't catch on to his wife's affair - at least not at first. "We're going to play him just not understanding what's going on," explains Cherry. "He finally gets wind of it and it'll build to a shocking conclusion in our 10th episode. We've got an interesting cliff-hanger involving the threesome." Source: The Ausiello Files
